M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

"Getitng what you pay for" isn't ALWAYS true, but with tools and parts it is lots of time a good rule of thumb, you know?

    What do you build?

You know what you're doing, Weldman; and I should have known as much! Yeah, fiber-mesh was just becoming a thing about the time I wound down my years in the business (and it would seem to be a "no-brainer" for any flatwork). Sawcutting some control joints as a final step is likely on your...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

You might like this, Mullaney; read some funny story a while back about some big municipality with acres of solar panels hiring out goats to clean up the fields around the panel installations: - They had a learning curve - Now they contract sheep for that work The goats were eating up parts...

RAILROAD CROSSING SAFETY - Sheriff Officer Hit - could have been any of us.

Just reading something the other day about "calm", and how it was described as a superpower. Emotions tangle up thinking. But emotion is a hard thing to tame in us peoples. Taking railroad crossings seriously is always good sense, plain and simple. Here's the clip:

    What do you build?

Placing concrete is bull labor for sure. Maybe offer some high school football team a "real world" experience and feed them lunch in exchange for their labor placing the mix and later on the slab. Hire one good concrete man to direct/watch them. Of course, this might just make trouble. If...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If you're already keeping chickens and some hives, you might want to consider adding in a goat to the mix: - Those rascals eat EVERYTHING green, weeds included (just be sure to tether them away from any wiring)!

    What do you build?

Weldman, that project is looking real good. It's a work-of-art! Guessing that the 2x's on the ground are formwork for a slab you plan to lay down over the gravel; is that the plan?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Sounds like fun and good times for sure! Don't know Mayo (but then there's a whole lot I don't know): - Are you on the Bay or the Atlantic?

    Tennessee Members, sign in.

The new Food City in East Ridge (Chattanooga +/-) carries Roquefort cheese as a standard staple in the cheese section (and the old store always did also). Highbrow/ Lowbrow I guess some folk just like good eating!

Modern Russian Army in the photos.

I love Russian vids; always first class productions. Nice post, USSR. The Biathlon is a crazy idea! It looked like all the "teams" used the same tank type: - Did I see that right?

I wish I knew something useful to tell you, but I right useless about a lot. Guessing that you never got a reply, Charlie 175. Is that right?

    Another M1010 owner

Looks like it might be a Silver Maple. They do have a tendency to go squirrelly, fall apart, and get messy. I am not a an arborist, but my "whiskers are long". :driver: :naner: :driver:
