    Dead Pilot's M38a1

. Possibly start using PB Blaster or WD-40 or whatever your favorite penetrating oil is. I also wonder (memory is failing me) if you need to remove a clip on each axle - inside the "pan" on the rear axle...

    Dead Pilot's M38a1

. So, you had no shoes on the back of the truck?

    Dead Pilot's M38a1

. Try adjusting the shoes in on the rear axle. You may have a set of drums that are worn and they won't slide off over the shoes. .

Flush brake lines or replace them?

. This is the short version of how you make your own bleeder for brake systems. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/tale-of-two-deuces.209189/post-2451828

Flush brake lines or replace them?

. I think you could flush them out without a lot of trouble. Especially if you build yourself a "power bleeder". There would be a minor issue if there is a lot of sand or dirt inside the brake reservoir - but maybe you could replace the master cylinder only rather than all the brake lines AND...

Locating a part for the wrecker

. Is there a reason why you can't re-use the one on your wrecker?

Brake Light not working one side

. Have you by chance checked the ground for the lights? Lighting on the HMMWV is grounded through the wiring harness. Where did you put your test leads for Ground? .

    TM 9-2815-207-35 OCR compressed

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/upload/5Ton/TM9-2815-207-35.pdf I scanned this TM and ran it through OCR so it can be searched. The book came from @WillWagner and the TankLand group. It is currently too large to upload, so @patracy will have to upload it into the spot where it belongs...

Locating a part for the wrecker

. Croby sells these "wire rope fittings" and their name carries weight... The big plus to using these things is that they are rated at 100% of the cable capacity when installed correctly. Often times they are called "swage sockets"...

Does anyone "float the gears" when shifting M39/M809?

. I was taught to leave the vehicle in gear and allow it to help slow it down.

    Spotted last week at Walmart

. And I was just about to start grousing about his truck being parked in a handicap parking place - until I noticed that there is a window hanger - most likely hanging on the wiper motor handle...

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

I also found a LeTourneau Rolling Liquid Transporter. Designed to transport fuel for Operation Willow Freeze. And I found a manual... Of sorts... It was a mission to evaluate the Transportation Corps in a winter maneuver in 1960-1961 supporting two battle groups participating in the exercise

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

. Any chance you could haul those down from your magic stash? I did a quick web search and came up empty... I did discover a $34.00 download for a "TRANSPORTER, LIQUID, ROLLING WHEEL TYPE, 1000 GALLON, M6" called MIL-T-46743 (Printed in 1962). Also found mention of a Drawbar Assembly...

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

. Wow! And it even has a "pintle" so you could haul a second one behind the first... Air Brakes - or "air connected" for sure. Looks like you have all the parts you would need to pump out the fuel. Wonder how you fill those balloon tires?
