i know not another tire question

I'll just say make sure you do your research on the tires/dealer before ordering them. Where they came from, the date codes, indoor/outdoor storage, ect.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I agree with Cattlerepairman, that's a good way to clean the system. I've always used 50/50 prediluted coolant (green) and no issues. Fortunately, the deuces don't seem to be finicky with the coolant concentration like some modern cars can be. From what I understand, it's a good idea to do a...

Help - Water drained from rear oil pan plug

Sounds normal, mine takes a bit to get up to temp, about 15-20 mins, give or take depending on the days temperature.

Will start only with a squirt of starting fluid. Runs great once started.

If air was in the system, wouldn't it be hard to start even with either? I figured it would run on the either alone for a second and would continue the process until the air is cleared or are the symptoms different on the return line?

    Mutifuel WOT

If the throttle return spring and cable is dirty, it can stick intermittently. I've had that happen to me before. Soaked it in lubricating oil and worked it back and forth and the problem disappeared. It's possible too that the return spring can be getting weak. Next time you start it and it...

It was more so just so I can use my winch and r covery gear since I rarely get to use it...I just need an excuse!🤣

The truck will start and run fine without the intake pump, it'll lack power and may have occasional hard starts but the IP does all the work in that case. I'd still run some transmission fluid in it and run it for while. With the truck running and driving, that fuel is constantly shaking around...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - June VOTE HERE!

One thing I appreciate about having a winch, it does come in handy at times. Last year there was a tree down across the road on one of the trails I was on. I used the winch along with a chain and some hd tow straps to pull a huge portion to the side of the road so other vehicles can get by. By...

I wish I could, ATF is actually a great fuel to run on after filtered.

I'm guessing it started fine without either before it was parked for 5 years? If so, sounds like the IP/injectors may need a good cleaning. Have you driven it or just had it running stationary? Transmission fluid is a great cleaner due to all the detergents it has, may be a good idea to run some...

Fill Jet A1 into the humvee?

Imo, when using jet fuel, just adding some wmo is sufficient depending on your engine. That's what I did when I had a few hundred gallons of it, I ran about 10-15 gallons of wmo to 35-40 gallons of jet fuel and my deuce ran great. It also seemed to have way more power and better fuel efficiency...

    M1009 Battery Disconnect Switch??

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be, but just need to make sure those connections stay nice and tight. If it gets loose, that's when it can arc and usually melts the ring lugs, I had that happen to me on my deuce which the who connector needed to be replaced.
