after fighting dla for 5 years (myself) i can say that the DLA has been forced to change the demil code of many vehicles that were C. vehicles this week are being released as Q6. my fight with the dla has cost me thousands of hrs, some sanity, and a little hair... right now over 100 hmmwvs...
after 5 years of fighting i was just able to force DLA to change the demil code of all unarmored HMMWVS. this has just started from C to Q6. this means that 10-20 THOUSAND hmmwvs that were to be crushed are now going to be released to donations (gsa excess) and then to the general public...
its simple, find out how the board of directors for the mvpa is doing to help the hobby, then do the exact opposite.... currently they are doing NOTHING to help pass laws to help the hobby or defending owners loosing there rights... so i step in... 5 wins in 3 years.
you are so wrong my friend.. the states run by R normally have no issues with letting former MVs on the road, but it has to be legal and ok with the constitution of that state and the lawyers... states run by Ds have a far harder time getting vehicles on the road... they could offer 10k a year...
the bill will be read in the house safety commission on tue prior to moving to the full house for a vote...
talked to the bill manager and she stated that this is a "no brainer" and has overwhelming support.
after that it moves to the senate and on to the gov...

ok so far (without any help at all from any other MV group) this is what is going on..
after having many reach out from OK about the issue with the state taking tags and not issueing titles this is what has happened....
i have got a senior state rep to agree to take the KS law i put together...
the ONLY way to fix the issue in CO is to have a law passed. the issue is that when you guys redid your DMV computer system they forgot to put the MV option in. the contractor wanted 50k to fix the system, so the dem statehouse took that and ran with it. now you cant get a MV titled / tagged...
remember this was not too long after the M151 issue where AMG was sued for "letting" the M151 on the civilian market. they were afraid that the hmmwv release would get another law suit... after that they were selling the H1 and didnt want comp. from the "cheap" surplus hmmwvs. i am trying to...
