And I'm going to forgive you because you're out living in California, but Savannah is not much anywhere NEAR either Memphis or Nashville.

Memory is a strange thing, and nothing to rely on, but I recall a USAF Loadmaster telling me once:
- During USN deployment on a USAF C-130 that had to feather one prop due to an engine fire (yikes)...
- That the C-130 will fly with one...
In a right kind of world, the country would be broken up into a grid:
- of rails (for long-haul travel), with
- a smaller grid of roadway inside each square of rail, for (short-haul) distribution and travel
That approach could keep these two (incompatible) systems separated. But don't hold...
