Thank You @Squibbly that’s good to know.
I did notice the Red Wire on the back of that Plug needs to be repaired. An easy fix. :)

I discovered the CB Radio is 12 And 24 Volt! I went ahead and connected the CB Positive and Neg wires directly up to the Front Battery Posts. This is what the Manufacturer recommended, when I called them last week.
To avoid any potential battery draining from the CB, I added a Toggle Switch to...
I finally added a New Ground Chassis today, via 6 Gauge Cable. I used an existing hole and bolt used for grounding the headlights. I cleaned up the area as well. I hit it with a small steel brush on my Dremel. It was filthy!!
I still need to Test for any Parasites. That’s for another...
Ugh!! I happened to see this today when looking at the CB I’m installing soon. So does that mean I have to Ground it on the Neg Battery Post and can’t ground it under the dash after all?

@Barrman I ended up converting the Buss Bar (in the cab) into a 12V Buss Bar. The reason I had to do that is because the prior owner installed a power inverter and KC lights both connected to that Buss Bar, both are 12V.
He originally modified part of the Buss Bar in the Engine Compartment. So...
@Barrman whooooa!!! This is exactly why I ask so many questions! It smells like..sounds like I just avoided another Hot electrical mess!
I still have 24v in the engine compartment and 12v in the cab via the Power Buss in there.
Am I right in thinking:
1. I can either hook up to the Positive...
@Keith_J @Barrman @Mullaney
The CB Red Wire has a 2A Fuse at the end that goes to the Power Source end of the wire. Great idea about having spare fuses, I’ll get on that!
I am wondering, could I just hook the Red (positive) End up to the Pos Post on the Rear Battery and then for the Black...
I have a real quick question. I just bought a new CB (President MCKINLEY USA SSB 12/24V CB Radio) for my M1009. The instructions say to power it by running the small red wire directly to the positive battery post and the same for the black negative wire, run it to the neg. battery post...
The Connections are looking clean! I double checked it all when I repaired that frayed wire.
As far as putting a ground from the Buss Bar down to the Frame, is 6 gauge cable ok? That’s the largest size I have on hand.

@Curtisje Ahhh! I know what you mean. I call those the Positive and Negative Buss Bars.
So run a Cable from the Neg (lower) Buss Bar down to the Frame. This will create an Extra Ground. I do have some Larger Eye Ends (for each end of the Cable) and larger Gauged Cables/Wires: 10, 8, & 6. I...
Ohh no! Please no Math! :)
I’d rather just buy another multimeter and let it do all of the work for me!
I ended up ordering the Fluke 106. I’ll report back in a couple of days, once it arrives.

Hmm, so what’s the best Multimeter to purchase that does whatever I’ll need for my vehicles? I’d prefer not to get something too high in price and an overkill device.

Maaaaaan!! I can’t win. I’m sending that s*#t back!! I have an old cheap one I’ll see if it reads Amps.
I may just buy the next model Up of the Fluke.

Doooooohhh!!! Oh I feel silly!
I’m quite sure it Can read Amperage. I just got it, but I’ll figure it out. I’ll try that again and report back.
Thank you sir!!

It sounds like I should consider installing a New 2 Gauge Ground Cable to go from The Firewall Junction to the Frame?
What is the Firewall Junction? Is that just the Firewall Area?
For example there’s already a Cable connected to the Engine Block on one side and just screwed into...
