    m923a2 engine noise

Is it a bad thing when bearings fall out on the ground? It was wise to replace it when you did. Expensive perhaps, but it could have caused other major and more expensive damage. I think you dodged a bullet! Glad to hear all is good now.

    Brake issue…what would you do?

I did something similar. I carry an air hose on my truck for airing up tires etc. I took two male quick disconnect fittings and screwed them together. This allows me to connect the glad hand on the truck to my shop air. Now I can air up the truck before I start it. This lets me get it out of the...

Easiest way to access underdash air lines in a M931A2?

For some years I’ve been cutting a bar of Irish Spring soap and leaving the pieces under my seats. I’ve been told that mice don’t like the smell of it and it helps to keep them out of the cab. I have mice on my property but I don’t see any evidence of them in my vehicles. I did have a mouse...

You should consider joining the MVPA. They have a publication called History in Motion. In there they list all of the local affiliate groups. It brings a lot to your hobby when you are involved with other local folks.

    Bringing My MV Home

I have done what you are doing. In 2019 I was on the MVPA convoy from York PA to San Francisco. I had to jump out in Delta Ut. and get home fast. I drove back to Michigan in 2 1/2 days. It was no fun pushing that hard but I made it. My only advise is get rest when you stop. If you feel tired get...

    Opening the hood

Sometimes I push up on the wheel well just a foot or so and hold it there with a stick. This makes pulling the hood open from the front a lot easier. Most of the time I just grab the handle, put my knees against the bumper and use all my 160 pounds to pull it open. once it starts to move, it...

Another Newbie to the HMMWV world

The bumper sticker on the front of my M934 says “ So you drive a 4 x 4. That’s cute.” It gets a lot of laughs…

    Spring replacement, leveling springs

Could air bags be considered? It would require moving the shocks but with air bags you would adjustment to match the load… Probably a bad idea?

I have an antenna that needs a radio...

How are you planning to use it? Are there other folks in your area to communicate with? Knowing how you want to use it may help guide you to the right radio. I have been thinking about getting into ham radio. Probably after retirement.

Since this is your first MV, how long is your driveway? You have to consider your next two or three vehicles in the near future… Opps, I didn’t mean to...
