Good to see someone doing a tatra project again........makes me want to work on mine again:p:p:p As soon as Im done building my monster truck its going to be Tatras for the next year!!
sounds great.....let me know how both you guys projects work out, I may do the same to one of mine. More power and less noise and heat in the cab would be welcome............but you got the love the v12 sound!
I doubt it, Ive been in all the hobby clubs in the west coast and nobody has ever mentioned one. Hopefully there is though would love to pick up a 815 also. Just dont want to deal with importing one. Let me know if you can rember any info on the local one besides what you already told.
thanks
cool surprised I havent ran into any in the Oregon area. I know of a guy with a 813 in san diego and Ive got 4 813s in Washington/oregon area. would love to see a 815 or really buy one.let me know if you get any more specific info.
Thanks

Hey Duncan
No but thanks for the reminder....I still need to get the axle boots, thanks for the lead I will follow up on that shortly.
Im also in the process of building a new bed on the back of my Tatra, all diamondplate steel, powdercoated and custom sides full roll cage etc, doing it...
nonsense?? I would like to know of other owners?? only 6 tatra 813's to be specific, may be more ive searched many sites and know all the other owners of 813s who dont know of others. would love to be in contact with more owners of the 813 in the u.s. care to share your contacts...
I used to load my full size utility style atv on the back of my duece with a couple 2x12x12foot long boards with those ramp ends you can bolt on to them, works just fine. I just stood next to my quad and powered it up , cheap and easy!
Im trading my mog for another truck with a guy in Canada. What do we have to do to get the truck accross the bordor? I do have a title but would it be easier to say its a tractor?
Thanks
Dean
Ive got some 8 foot by 2 foot steel pieces Im taking to the powder coaters. Maybe Ill have them dipped. I just dont want to have to do a cleaning , or washing before I go to the powdercoaters. I just want to pick them up and take it over, as if they were sandblasted.
Never done this method. Ive seen places that dip cars etc for restoration. What does it take to remove the white coating? What exactly is phosphating?
Just wandering what it takes from the time you pick up your metal from dipping to painting?
After restoring dozens of trucks. Here is my advice.
POR 15 peels off over time, even with good prep. I prefer a good primer and a epoxy paint.
Sandblasting is the best way to remove and have paint last!!!
Second to that is completely wire wheel rust off, then I use OSPHO rust converter...
