And now for something completely different...M123E2

It's about time you showd up! I'd gladly send you a VIN, if I could find one. The hood number looks made up, having the wrong format and I've scoured the truck for a reg # too, under the hood, in the glove box, inside the drivers door but the inside of the cab has been painted. Jeff

Advice on purchasing either a M113 or an M114

RE: M113 or M114 The foreign stuff doesn't seem to appreciate as much as US armor. I've driven that XM734. It's a nice piece. I read that those variants were sent to Vietman (i have a pic of one in country) for evaluation but since no one wanted to ride down inside the apcs, let alone fight...

I'm begining to wondr what I rally have here. I still can't find a VIN, it dosen't say "Mack' in the places it should and the diamond plate on either side of the winches doesn't extend out as far as it should. Jeff

What do you want changed about GL?

I dissagree, I NEVER got an incorrect SF-97 when I bought directly from the DRMO. Why? Because the person filling out the 97 was right there with me and the vehicle. If there was any question we could walk outside, inspect the vehicle and agree on the information required. It also used to be a...

I can't find the VIN. Maybe Brandon could check his truck for the exact location of the numbers on the frame and I can sand on mine to find them. Jeff

Thanks Brandon, I'll check it out. Let me know about the DS. The dual winches, as MadDawg said, hooked to either side of the disabled vehicle, allow the operator to steer the vehicle onto the trailer. I assume it's a Mack. Jeff

It's an original dual winch model. I'm just not sure if it's a M123E2 or a M123D because it does not have the correct data plate. Anyone know if they put a VIN on the frames of these? DD? Jeff

And now for something completely different...M123E2

The previous owner was a WW2 guy and painted it so. It won't be hard to prep and paint it semi-gloss.

Finally got it in. I need the correct data plate, shift plate and front driveshaft for starters. There's still a cargo up there for sale. Jeff

    Air Conditioning

Can you tell, by the input wiring or opening it up, what it's power requirements are? That would help to determine which model it is. Jeff

    Air Conditioning

I'm not sure how Make and Model would help you in the civilian world but it should be on the data plate. What type of power does your's require? The one's I just got out of Mechanicsburg came with the TM's. I may end up with an extra. The mil-spec on these calls them a 6k btu unit but they put...

Re: RE: Are M113s and M114s related? Cad-Gage was never a division of GM but Cadillac was and did make them, if I remember right. Jeff
