There are wiring diagrams for the A2 models (which have the 4 speed) in the 280-20 TM appendix f. There are three connections to the 12v tap on the batteries.
The first is from the 12v tap on the alternator. This is to charge the lower battery as your TCM discharges it.
The second goes...
All the lights you mentioned are on the 'parking lights' circuit. It would make sense if the light switch went south and is not supplying power to that circuit.

Uhhhh a spare is most definitely still required. Runflats will get you maybe 30 miles on pavement or 3-5 miles on nicely graded dirt if you are lucky before the tire completely disintegrates. Once that happens you can try to cut away the remaining tread and continue, but "continue" means...
The other thing I forgot to mention was the power steering reservoir cap. The DWF part is center drilled and has a hose barb coming out the top. It is then tee'd into the rest of the drivetrain vent system.

The fan cutoff switch is actually on the side of the injection pump and is attached to the throttle. You trip the switch by flooring the throttle. Try it on the highway next time you are driving and the fan comes on.
Part of the fording procedure is to blip the throttle before entering the...
Take a look for bent fins on the oil cooler or radiator. When I got my truck it did this when I drove 50mph. The oil cooler looked like someone had sat on it when working on the truck because 50% of the fins were bent over blocking the air flow. I spent four hours with a flat head screw driver...
IIRC there is an MWO kit to add the deep fording capability. The kit is not that complex. Aside from the obvious snorkle and exhaust stack, there is a reinforcement plate that rivets or bolts into the wheelhouse where the exhaust mounts, a different CDR valve, a sensor cup, a control valve, a...
Yes I did :) I'm sheepish to admit it but it was the fan coming on. That's why I felt like it was losing power too.
When I bought the truck the doghouse was not secure so I was getting a lot more engine noise in the cabin. Also someone had spent a lot of time sitting on the radiator so all the...
My old style brake works great! And I got a rebuild kit (springs and pads) for $10. I find myself adjusting it based on the grade I'm parked on. Just a twist on the end of the lever and it'll hold, even on the steep stuff.
The test in the TM to check function says to set the brake then put the...
Ok thanks. Do I have to jack up the a-arm to take tension off, or just pound the bolt out with the new one? It also looks like the driver side brake caliper may interfere with bolt removal. Any trouble with this?
I've got the winch with the banjo fittings on the solenoids, which I believe is...
Whats the a-arm bolt secret? I'll be installing the same winch on my vehicle in a month or two.. I haven't received mine yet so I don't have the directions to read.
Here is a pretty good list of all the possible combinations:
1. HMMWV previously bought from the the Atlanta or Barstow auctions: Legal to buy, sell, own etc. By this point most of them that could have been titled have been, so transfer is very easy (just line a normal civilian vehicle). It may...
You have to lift up the lock bar and swing the tire carrier all the way outboard of the fender. The lock bar locks the carrier after 90 degrees of travel, but it will do a full 180 to clear the tailgate.
