    You have not mentioned the size of the timbers or the weight of them . You did mention 7 foot from cab to center of axle , so that leaves 9 feet to the rear of the axle high in the air . No mention of what you plan on using for lights , as your going to need more than just the trucks tail...

    Take the NSN or part # from the parts TM and run it through parttarget it will give you the correct specs. http://www.parttarget.com/

    They will load it with a Fork Truck but will likely cause more costs in damage than you save by not taking a trailer . common issues are bent drive shafts and broken transfer case cases along with anything else they can stick a fork through.

    Something is worn out . If 1 dogbone was shorter than the rest there would have been unusual tire wear on the old tires.

    I would guess a 12foot flatbed with timbers extended out and a HMMWV will draw the attention of every motor carrier officer you get anywhere near. Don't even think of skirting proper plates in California and if your F450 is commercial a log book for over 150 miles from home base.

    11.00 -20's are wider and a little bit taller . This is a size chart for NDCC's but will give you a idea .

    11.00R20 would be a good choice with the right tread. Your 2 hour commute is going to turn into a 4 hour commute once you figure in the top speed and start-up warm-up and shut-off cooling times. And the heaters suck.

    He has a 5 ton not a HMMWV , there is a HMMWV forum to ask questions about your speedometer on your HMMWV. As for registering please read this thread as he has a 5 ton and doesn't have the issues of a HMMWV on registering . HMMWV Titling
