    Pioneer rack mounting spot

So... probably going to change up and flat mount it to the tool box. Now that I know it fits.. I'm going to use the bow storage mount for what it's made for.

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

OK, just checked the drivers side, no straps. Hmmm I wonder if our very own @Valence would know where/how to get some. They are NSN 5340009302717

Just looked, and all the parts are there. Thanks for the heads up!

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

Yeah, I'm definitely going to figure out some sort of storage. The only issue is the rack only swings up a little bit and would hit the Jerry can. Rubber bumbers definitely sound like a good plan!

    Pioneer rack mounting spot

So... update... When I bought my truck and in going through it while prepping for paint, I found this.... "thing": It was mounted above my toolbox on the passenger side and I had (have) no idea what it was originally designed for.... ANYWAY... I was looking at the pioneer rack I got and was...

    Alternator changeout issues

Follow up to the follow up... I broke the cardinal rule of troubleshooting electronics. I didn't verify my test gear was accurate. I was using my meter to test the voltage on my motorcycle battery and it was showing 15.7vdc. After scratching my head, I swapped it to A/C and put it on my...

    Alternator changeout issues

    Alternator changeout issues

And if anything is still wonky at that time I'll let you know, and as far as being honest, that's the only way I can be. I'm not **positive** (see what I did there?) that I grounded the hot, but thats honestly the only thing I can think that would have caused the issue I had. If it's wonky or...

    Alternator changeout issues

I'm going good be driving the truck for about an hour and a half tomorrow and I'll run the checks when I get home. That will put a good charge on them, I can check output voltages etc and go from there.

    Alternator changeout issues

Yes. The batteries were so low they only clicked when I tried to start.

    Alternator changeout issues

I figured out what happened with the guage. When I connected the alternator I accidentally grounded the hot on the casing. The PCBs were rebuilt over a month ago. The batteries were weak from me driving it to get it home when the old alternator crapped out. The battery solenoid didn't work...
