Use diesel to thin the WMO, not gasoline.
Although it's counterintuitive, diesel autoingnites at a lower temperature than gasoline (410 F as compared to 495 F). So, it will be much harder to start the truck with gasoline in the WMO as compared to diesel.

I have the re-build manuals here:

Look under the "Drive Train" section for the two "Maintenance Manual - Engine, Multifuel LDS-465 & LDT-465" manuals.
I guess just as a clarification; my truck doesn't smoke any MORE with WMO than with straight diesel, except on startup when quite cold but not a smokescreen.
My truck is in stock configuration, not turned up, and smokes the same amount as the other trucks I've bought and sold.
I don't seem to have a smoke issue. It will generate some smoke, right when you take off, if it's been idling for a while but it will do that with straight diesel too.
The only way anyone has ever known I run UMO is because I've told them.
Does anyone else generate a lot of smoke with UMO?
I've run about 250 gallons of UMO through my truck in the last year, mixed with anywhere from 20% to 50% diesel, with no issues so far.
So, say at 3.75 a gallon for diesel, I've saved about $940 on fuel. The last used motor I purchased (for another truck) cost me $600. So if mine blows on the...
Carnac,
I'd like to see a pic of your seal tool.
Were your studs damaged before removal or did they get trashed as you took them out? What tool did you use to remove the studs?
No, this unit is lights only. It is part of the trucks lighting circuit (connected to the light switch) much like the stock 24v trailer socket is.
Trailer brakes require about 7 amps per axle at 12 volts (a little under 100w per axle) and some people will use a 24v to 12v converter to operate...
Thanks Cleptomaniac, I'm glad you found the adapter easy to install.
For anyone who would like to see how this adapter works, here's a link: Civi Trailer Lights
About $35 per u-bolt "kit" (that's a pair of u-bolts).... that's one of the better prices I've found.

G-Force,
Interesting on the wheel cylinders. Which SMARPI TM are you looking at?
The retrofitted A2's in SMARPI "SMI 209-2320-209-14&P" for modified M44A2 trucks does not show any changes in the wheel cylinders and the master cylinder's reservoir is not remote mounted.
I assume this SMI is...
I suspect the the differential valve. p/n 5934092 is only available from AMG... but take a look at this AMC differential switch, it sure does look identical!
That being said, I've not been able to find a source for the AMC one either.
Now, if the AMG one is simply a differential SWITCH that...
This is a post I did in another thread:
"Here's what I think I know about the A3 system.
The air packs are the standard deuce ones.
I believe a valid part number for the master cylinder is: Bendix 11999 or Raybestos MC39577
This crosses to a NAPA TS108038, TS108002 and UP39577.
This is a...
There are two wires that plug into the two dash lights, both wire #49.
I'd bet you have one of the #49 wires plugged into the wrong place (and one of the dash lights has something other than #49 plugged into it).
For me, the reason I install a remote reservoir on every truck isn't to make it easier to re-fill.
The fluid level should basically stay the same, but if it starts to go down you need to figure out why. The fluid level changing is an indicator that something is starting to leak and will be...
