Haven't bought the material, but looks like $130 just for the new studs on each adaptor plus the plate steel.
Brother said that we can get rough cut circles out of heavy plate steel and then machine them down to the size we need. No idea what that will cost.
I have to rebuild/replace my...
I'm putting an AC in mine this winter (for next years summer). Picked up Military Red dot dual fan/condenser unit, Compressor, and the Evaporator/blower unit. All new in box and all 24v for about $750. Just need to fabricate brackets, and buy some custom lines and a drier unit, and I should be...
Looking at other adapters, my brother and I have decided to build this one as our solution to the problem. I'm thinking we can safety wire the nuts that are inside the hub to assure none of them move after assembled.
(These are pictures of another members truck and adapters. He was also nice...
I was told to come to this thread to pad ones post count and complain about stuff. Did I come to the right spot?
Oh wait, I'm already over a hundred posts, never mind.
Curious, do you pay for the waste oil or do you take it off their hands for free? I have had a truck company offer to sell it to me and was curious that the fair price was if anything?
LOL, I think if I even mention I was going to burn it out, I would be shot. (Texas has been burning all year and the area lost equals the size of Connecticut from my understanding. ) Beyond keeping the fire under control, I would also be worried about damaging the trailer.
Not sure what the...
My brother found this trailer in a field. Mother nature is doing her best to reclaim it but it actually still looks solid from the pictures.
Can anyone identify this trailer. Any historic value worth fighting the trees to get it back?
Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for the parts ordered. My T-case is down, so I am dead in the water until I get these parts. More curiosity of why he hasn't mailed my order and why no communication.
Dang, I had hoped he would send the parts. I'm in the same boat with an order.
Where did you get the email. There are no numbers or email addresses that I can find on the site. When I used the contact page, I hit continue but it doesn't do anything.
I've only been waiting 2+ weeks, but...
All of mine have been very quick. M35A2C (my first GL purchase) and some parts just last month took about 1-2 weeks. Not sure why some people have to wait longer.
All my purchases were for personal use, no plans to resale, etc. so that may have some part in mine being quicker.
I'm in the same boat, I actually paid for 2 day delivery because I needed the parts quick.
I am still waiting after 9 days, but my credit card was billed on day one?
I show 10,000 lbs in cargo or 10,000 towed (both on the road), per the data plate. Now people flat tow a Deuce so that is 13,500 lbs. I think asking it to tow 40,000 lbs to be pushing it, but I have no first hand experience dealing with that kind of weight.
Why not make more trips since it...
This is the only time I see it. If I link from email or favorites, it never pops up. I guess it is there to prevent new people from joining the site. ;-)
Sounds like a rebuild is in my future. I pulled the seat and floor panels, but would like to find a TM with detailed maintenance instructions before I drop it and open it up. Also need a parts list for Bearings and seals if anyone could point me to a listing.
Found a website that allows me to...
I just paid $354 for the tax and title. I think the state tax is 6.25% and I bought my truck for $5140.
I think I pay about $185 for full coverage on insurance based on it being registered as a Former Military Vehicle (FMV). (i.e., not a daily driver and limited use.)
Registration for FMV...
