Why Did M1008s Come with NP208 vs NP205s

GM took advantage of every cost saving measure they could when building these trucks. A dollar here and there adds up when you are building thousands and thousands of vehicles.

    FL Is Hagerty schizophrenic?

I have 5 vehicles and a trailer insured with Hagerty. Vehicle srange from a CJ-5 to a M925A2. Been with them since 2008, never had an issue with them. I am not aware of any mileage restrictions on my policy. Need to be stored in a locked garage yes, but that's not an issue. There seems to be a...

    Passenger Side Alternator Weirdness...

I think your alternator may have an internal issue, or, the wire on the Number 1 terminal between the alternator and the bulb may have an intermittent ground connection. Check the wire on the #1 terminal from the alternator all the way to the GEN 2 relay to ensure that it is not connected to or...

    Battery Wiring Maintenance

Once again it's that time of year to inspect your battery connections. It's no fun fixing them in the rain, snow and wind when it's cold and dark. Check them on all your vehicles, not just the MV's. Check the battery connections on all of your generators, golf carts, race cars, Chick Magnets etc.

    Alternator dummy lights

I found this on how to eliminate the light bulb. Wiring 10Si, 12Si, 15Si, 17Si, and 27Si Series Alternators General Motors has only had 4 different series alternators since it first replaced generators with alternators in the 1960's. The very first alternator was the 10DN externally...

How to create a ground plane

If you can mount antennas on the roof, put as large a piece of aluminum under the antennas as possible. The roof location maximizes the performance of antennas. The ground of the antenna needs to be mechanically connected to the aluminum. To increase the metal area, add as much aluminum tape...

What did you do to your trailer today.

If you would stop doing burnouts and drag racing your CUCV's on your driveway, it would last longer...:)
