    Tracking a wire issue

Looking at it closer, at the rear coupler, just forward of the connection someone had cut out the wires and redid the wires for about a foot section. Must have been damaged at some point. The issue I see is 2 wires are broke off right at the connector but only 1 broken loom wire is present...

    Tracking a wire issue

Yes that is the one I was looking at. The CAD file plot. I can trace it back to the rear wiring coupler but going forward it is in a large bundle of wires.

    Tracking a wire issue

I can try that. Thanks for the suggestion. Where did you get a new one? This is on my M756 so the tank is exposed to the elements all the time due to the shorter bed.

    Tracking a wire issue

Worked on Deuce 2 today getting the in tank pump freed up. It was gunked up bad but after a acid bath I got most of the crude out of the pump and it turned freely. Hooked it up to Deuce 1 (batteries are in that one) and it operated fine (Just plugged it in and turned on power). Installed it back...

Bought a Deuce need some advice

Welcome! I will recommend as above to look at the fuel cutoff. There are some good youtube videos on it by Tactical Repair. I recently recovered 2 Deuces and 1 was stuck at WOT. Second issue may be priming the fuel system if the in tank pump does not work. I purchased a 24v pump and ran one...

Mine is flaky also, I need to check the connection, where is the sending unit at on the motor?

    M35A2 brakes not working. Help.

Yes indeed bleed them. Air in the system will just compress and you will have no brakes. It does sound like your brake air pack needs to be looked at. If that is froze up then you won't have brakes either. It takes air pressure to operate the brakes

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M756A2 Project!

I picked up a M756a2 # 04G37970053510009 I have the Gin poles, 1 leg brace, and both in bed pully mounts. Missing the tailgate, bed winch, trunnion, pulleys, and Gin pole to trunnion brackets. Maybe one day I will find those.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I just did one of mine. Super easy to do, I think I will need to turn the fuel down a bit as it gained quite a bit of power just with the bypass. My truck has been sitting a long time so maybe the FDC was gunky or something and it was limited the fuel....

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Replaced the O rings today. The little shaft was a bugger to get the tit to line up. Took me 20 times before I was ready to throw it across the yard and it just snicked in on the last try.... No more fuel leak there!
