    M-52 Recovery

Thank you very much! I’m a passively good at mechanical issues. I’ve never been very good at electrical stuff.

    M-52 Recovery

Not much to report. Still trying to figure out the fuel pump wiring. Also got to figure out how to insert a small light in line to the aux pump. No wiring data for that. Got the engine shut off lever installed. What a pain. Still in work getting the throttle lever correctly installed. I think...

    XM211 Questions

I have two M211’s. One is a M and the other is a XM. Neither truck is 100% but between the two of them, I can make one complete truck. Trying to decide which will be the one to rebuild and which to cannibalize is proving to be a difficult decision.

    OR Insurance in Oregon

I’ve insured 3 of my M35A2’s with State Farm. Due to their size, I have to have commercial insurance. I also tag them with Pioneer tags.

What have you done to your 10 ton this week?

I’d trade at least 3 of my deuces for one of them M123/125’s!

    M-52 Recovery

Finally got to work on the M52A2. The wiring is a real pain to figure out. Fortunately, I found TM 9-8028, which has a fairly complete set of wiring diagrams. Much easier figuring out which wire goes to what component.

what cordless tool are you using to get your lug nuts off

I personally haven’t found a cordless that could touch a deuce lug nut. I have an 18 volt drill but it won’t touch the really grumpy nut torques. I use a one inch arbor pneumatic impact tool. It has broken loose almost everything I’ve put it on. I say almost because one time the metal...

    M-52 Recovery

My bad, I should have explained a little better. The pigs we have are Guinea pigs. I reread my post and realized I wasn’t clear on the pigs I was talking about. Two of my wife’s male Guinea pig’s got frisky and were beating the daylights out of each other. I thought they were going to kill each...

    M-52 Recovery

I’m on a temporary hold on all my various projects. Got into an argument with a pair of pigs and lost. I hope to get the stitches out early next week. After that, back to bending, beating, cutting and welding.

Power for my Vic 1 and PRC-10

Thank you! Once it warms up, I’ll get cracking on that job. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the power cable that would go to the mount. I think I’ve also got some 15 amp circuit breakers (GI type). I’m probably the second worst electrician on this site. Just couldn’t figure out how to hook everything...

Power for my Vic 1 and PRC-10

So I got this straight, take a wire (cable?) from the battery and plug that into a 15 amp C/B. Then run a wire (cable?) to the radio mount. And finally wire (cable?) to the VIC-1. My question is the wires and/or cables. I can see using the mil-spec cable from the radio mount to the VIC-1...

    Yanmar L100V Help Request

Know anyone who has a borescope? Harbor Freight has the least expensive ones. Do a visual on the inside of all accessible ports.

    Yanmar L100V Help Request

When you do the compression test, is it done on a hot engine? A hot running engine, if suffering from a crack, will most probly start acting up as soon as the engine gets hot.

    Yanmar L100V Help Request

That thar conundrum is shore nuff a tail twister! I mildly suspected an intermittent ground out, if that’s possible. I ran into some problems with my diesel Farm Pro (aka Jinma) tractor. It was running fine then it started sputtering then it died. It wouldn’t restart fer nuthin’. Took off the...

    M-52 Recovery

I was looking for something other than wiring and came across this manual. It’s TM 9-8028 and on pages 171, 271 and 282. Looks like the complete diagram. Other than that, I’m fixing my farm pro tractor (fouled fuel tank, sediment bowl and fuel filter. Cleaned everything up and she started right up.

You reworked the key start? Is the part new, used, NOS or the original part, just rewired?
