    leaks on axles

You need to be a little more specific , what area on the diff's are you talking about ? , there is a LOT of places for the gear oil to leak , all of which can be fixed with new seals or gaskets . TM calls for GA grease for the chassis or are you asking about gear lube ?

    M35a2 motor swap

Just a thought , being as this MV was ABUSED !!! I think you should " POP the Top" off the transmission and have a peak inside . Just for piece of mind . It's a lot easier to do something with the unit on the ground . Hate to see you put everything back and find a bad gear .

    welder choice...

Miller or Hobart MIG welder , both made by the same company and pretty well supported . I would also recommend a MVP welder . 110 welder is really going to limit your ability to weld heavier gauge material . Like they said TSC with a sale or coupon , and use gas and not the FLUX coated wire ...

    Fried starter x2

I would also go with some bad grounds , you need good grounding for everything to work properly . I would check and clean all your ground connections . Check for a good ground between the engine and the frame/firewall .

mt 654 replacement or repair for a m923

WOW , lots of questions , maybe I can answer a few as best as I can . Sure sound like you cooked the unit , but I would try a filter and fluid change first and get a trans. oil pressure gauge and check your pressures , and that will answer your one question . The rest of your questions come down...

    Mike D's deuce recovery/modification thread

Just a word of caution , IF you are getting coolant in the oil , do not drive the vehicle much if at all , NOTHING takes out engine bearings as fast as anti freeze diluted engine oil That coolant just takes the Babbitt right off the bearings like nothing else .
