If you have an air conditioner it not only cools you but….With the air conditioner running and then turn the heat blend door on will prevent condensation.

How do you make a LMTV NOT suck in the snow?

Yea, yea I live in Florida! But I was rock crawling Jeeps on 33”, 35” and 37”back before it became a trend in the mid 1990’s but airing the tires way on slick wet rocks is what got you up and over them. I would laugh at the people that didn’t understand it. It’s not so you can float on the...

How do you make a LMTV NOT suck in the snow?

Sorry bagging the tires, just means lowering the tire pressure so low they start to bag….like 8 -10 psi. Don’t worry you have beadlocks so the tires are not coming off the rim.

Doing donuts is so awesome, 😂 then the move to Florida comment…..🤣🤣🤣 If no chains bagging the tires is an absolute must.

M1078 to M1079 Conversion and Build

I added air bags just to make sure I can adjust ride height later for the added load if needed.

My thread is Keith’s M1078 project on this sight. I’ve been posting for a long time on my 1078 then 1.5 years ago bought a 1079...

    Paging Dr Ronmar, etc

For it to affect multiple things it’s usually a common ground that is probably loose some where. Hard to find intermittent problems like that.

Thanks geo, 🤪 yes I rebuilt and repurposed those forward boxes, insulated them to make them accessible from the inside.

Then reassembled the bed frame after powder coating. The holes are to allow the bottom of the mattress to get ventilation to prevent moisture and mold. Now I have to take a break from working on it for a month or so while I have to work on some other paying projects for customers.

While it’s getting powder coated I worked on the Tambour doors for our cloths lockers at the front of the habitat. You can see them from the outside as well. It’s what the original heater and ventilation fan was in. Earlier I removed all the original louvered panels and installed 1/8” aluminum...

Next is the fabrication of the bed frame that is going to be attached to 4ea 30” actuators to raise and lower the bed. Everything had to be bolted together and assembled in side the habitat for the obvious reason that it’s way to large to fit. Testing the actuators then disassemble everything...

After that I installed the air conditioner. The outside condenser is mounted in the middle there. I fabricated a roof over it to help keep the elements off of it. I also put the condenser on a drip pan with a hose going all the way down along with the interior evaporators drain hose so all the...

It was actually very easy here in Florida, fill out this form which you had to make statements saying it has various things that would only be in an RV get a weight scale ticket and pay them money. No inspection or pictures required.

Just a Chevy 3500 diesel and a goose neck farm trailer for hauling tractors and equipment. put a 9,000lb winch on the front of the trailer and used a snatch block and winched it onto the trailer with a flat front tire. Fun to steer it without the engine running.
