Okay, finally made it back to this. I've updated the drawing and will run another sample. I think I have all the information on the associated parts but will have to verify.
Another option would be using an adhesive with a neatly cut out .040" (or so) aluminum patches covering each area. If you are spraying it with bed liner I'd think the patch would pretty much disappear as you're putting a textured top coat. A local auto paint store should have such a product.
Only issue I had was after test run I noticed some grease around the large end of the outside boot. The metal strap wasn't tight enough. I used a large zip tie over the original clamp and hossed it down tight. Next day it went 170 miles without issue.

We did our last official ride for the year. Fall foliage tour to World's End State Park, PA. 4 of us went, 8am departure and were back home at 4:30. We did 170 miles and had a picnic lunch. Was raining at 7 am but stopped before we left and there were only a few sprinkles of rain throughout...

Ps - A few people requested parts at the show. I'll be calling...
We had a great time and the weather was perfect. I really enjoyed the trail rides and dinner. Robert did an excellent job on his presentation about the fallen soldier table. You could of heard a pin drop at the end.
