A co-worker was very excited to tell me that he found a Deuce and a Half on Craig’s List and he was thinking about getting it. Then he showed me pictures of a M923. He had a blank look on his face when I told him it wasn’t a Deuce.
A couple of thoughts came to my mind.
First is wow! Simply wow!
Second is (according to an inflation calculator on the internet) if you bought something for $200 in 1920 then it’s worth $2,581.15 in 2020. I hope you got a deal on that trailer. (y)
Lastly... I don’t feel as bad about the date...
PB, you said “And so 7 it is!!!:tank:fat lady sings “
What are you talking about? There is only one awesome trailer in this thread!
Come on y’all.... You know who to vote for!!!
Howdy from Texas. Welcome to the site and congratulations on your acquisition! And thank you for your service!
Getting your truck home made for quite the experience. Thanks for sharing the story.
What part of the island do you live on? I was born in Honolulu and lived in Kailua as a kid. My...
What have I done to my Deuce this week? Nothing! I’m heeding my county’s stay-at-home order and haven’t been over to see the truck. My center axel is still apart and needs to be put back together. The break drums are turned and I have new wheel cylinders and break pads waiting to go in. I...
Let’s just say... There are some people I don’t want to run into in a dark alley... And your’s is one truck I don’t want to run into on a dark highway!
You are doing awesome work, Sir! I’m looking forward to seeing a picture of your truck pulling your trailer!
I’m late to this thread. Just read it cover to cover and enjoyed every post. Also learned a few things!
Wes, you sir (like many others on this site) are very talented. Thank you for taking the time to share all of this.
Ha! I am a slacker. “My” M936 is only 25 miles from the house, but I haven’t been able to get it home yet!!
Don’t worry, I’ve got excuses.... The current owner didn’t get a SF-97 from Gov Planet and the lack of a title has slowed me down. Now coronavirus has my county on a stay-at-home...
I enjoy the rally each year. Then, after I've gotten home and taken a shower, I enjoy posting pictures and videos from the rally.
Since most sporting events are cancelled (as was our rally), it seems that there are a lot of re-runs on TV these days. It seems only fitting that we have some...
As stated above, it's really not a bad job.

You have already gotten several good references for parts. In my opinion, buy the boots from Rockwell Offroad. It's a good product. I have them...
I’ve got a wheel cylinder on my center axel that is not working. The passenger side breaks were dragging. So this week I got both break drums off that axel and took them to my local NAPA (which also has a machine shop). They turned the drums for me (only took 18/1000 off) and charged $20 per...
