I was able to find the low side charge fitting in the catalog that @Coug sent, but need to do some more digging as I couldn’t find the high side. They’ve got too many fittings lol.
I think I should be fine with re-using my pressure sensor on the U shaped assembly, will dig a bit more and call...
Alright progress has been made. Mac Motors will be refunding me for the faulty switch and starter it burned up. In the meantime I’ve sourced a new starter and HPG is shipping me another start switch.
New starter has been installed, truck starts perfectly right now with an original switch from...
So good and bad news. I found a leak as soon as I went to test the AC and add more refrigerant. The high side charge port seems to not be properly sealing with the little ball in there. Anyone got a reference on that entire U shaped fitting assembly? May have to call red dot again but it’s not...
Got the new receiver drier and hooked it up to the system. New O-Rings and all on the fittings as well.
I couldn't find the Red Dot RD-5-11188-0P receiver drier anywhere that wasn't going to be a month+ long wait. I spoke to a few Red Dot vendors though and they told me that any drier that...
Haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Yermo, Albany GA was great though. Trucks were picked up and on the way to me without any interaction from the Govplanet yard there, the shipper/broker I chose apparently hauls 400+ of them out of there every year. Paid a little more than the cheapest...
I've heard somewhere that buying something for the first time takes longer, and subsequent purchases should be quicker since you're already in their database. Don't know how much merit that statement has to it, especially if RWH has been waiting as long as he says a few posts ago. To me it all...
Alright here we go, time for a can of worms that I didn’t want to open lol
Winter is coming and I currently only have water in my cooling system. I’ve gone through several threads of what coolant should be used with no close consensus. I hate to overthink coolant of all things, but topics such...
Ah I guess you're in the same boat as me it seems, my section is completely blank however, not even "undefined".
The govplanet employee I spoke to told me that "sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. What I believe the actual case to be is whether or not they feel like updating the status lol
I think you're lucky that it even has a status listed there, mine has been blank the entire time. My only source of updates has been calling govplanet every few weeks to check on it. It says "Sent to DLA" under the "SF97 Status" section though?
As far as I'm aware. TSC handles the EUC forms...
I can confirm for 100% now that my wiper extensions were the press fit style. Just yanked them using the claw end of a hammer. To anyone that does this, make sure your hammer or extension doesn’t go flying anywhere including your radiator, they’re on there tight.
I’m supposedly 14 business days or so into the Marine Corps receiving and processing the forms. Govplanet says it should be another 15 business days. Will see.
Yea it had the 6.2L / 3L80 being the only difference I was getting at. It just had this distinctly different "feel" compared to the 1043A2 and 1123 I've been working on
Sup sup!
Would love to see a build thread on this, one hmmwv just isn't enough once the addiction gets you. I still peruse govplanet more often than I should :P
As far as M998s go, man they feel VERY different in a way that I can't quite describe as one just has to experience. I got the chance...
Watch out for "new" switches from the big vendors as well, I've been having quite a fun time with issues they've had. The start switch is by far the most innocent seeming but one of the most important things to function properly based on my wallet's adventures.
My thread has details regarding...
