Can anyone pick up a generator at Fort Riley, KS and hold for a couple of days until I can make it up from Leavenworth? I won't be able to make it to the GL lot during their very limited business hours. A MEP-016D is small, about 250lbs, and will fit in a pickup truck.
The hours at the Riley...
I wanted one of the M756's out of the Jack Tomlin collection but couldn't get any straight answers from the broker. I wonder who got them.
Don't part out a M756 if you can help it, they are getting very hard to find in decennt shape, and yours looks pretty nice.
Brian Stilwell, B&R trucking out of Flint, MI. I don't have his number handy, but it's posted elsewhere on the site. He has hauled for me a couple times. He's great to work with and so far I haven't had cheaper quotes from anyone else.
I purchased my military brass stencils from here: LC Industries about two years ago. I don't know if they still carry them. It's the same distribution company the Army buys them from.
I like the fuel tank tool box idea. I haven't seen that done before.
Since you're dropping the OEM spare do you plan to carry a 395 spare? If so, what's the plan to mount it? One of the other threads recently had some good discussion about spare mounting. There just isn't much room on a...
I've only been near HET's in theater so there weren't any civiilan vehicles nearby... pretty sweet how your tires are taller than most of the sedans and some of the small trucks.
Put a small shelter such as a S250 or S788 in it with the permanently afixed plumbing/appliances. It would probably come in handy during the cross country move, should be relatively inexpensive and will be easy to remove. When I looked into registering a 5ton as an RV in AK it had to have...
Joint travel regs changed in May of this year. Rates went down yet again so be sure you haul the maximum weight you are allowed so your payout is as much as possible.
I still need to file for a PCS I just completed this month, but I barely broke even two years ago, and transportation told me...
You are correct, it looks like your M151 was part of the 2nd Armored Division, that's the 2 and the triangle on the left bumperette. Normally the number after the division would indicate the brigade or division separate under the DIV HQ, but the "426" doesn't match anything I can find for units...
Very cool you got to use your personal MV for unit training, however PBs comment was spot on. I can't imagine that it would have been necessary had unit leadership exercised all the systems in place to ensure US military equipment was properly maintained. Budget cuts... Etc, etc, etc- got it...
I like the idea of a durable coating but every vehicle I've ever seen covered in bedliner was all faded and chalky in a relatively short amount of time. Especially in hot, sunny climates. Because of that I couldn't bring myself to paint the exterior of any of my vehicles in bedliner, but thats...
Mark nailed it. Like I said before the abbreviations are consistent, but that's about as far as consistency goes.
I came back from a tour in Iraq as a company commander and as part of our unit level "reset" my BN CDR wanted every company in the Brigade Troops Battalion (Signal company...
