Did you have a deuce p/u @ WB? I would like to get an AF truck at some point down the road. My wife and I are both AF and she may be a bit more forgiving if it is a former AF truck and then I can tell her I bought it for her.
I got inspection reports with all the trucks. It was just the one...
I just recovered 3 deuces from Camp Dodge. In one of the packets given with the vehicles is a DA Form 2404 Equip. Inspec. and Maint. Worksheet. On this form they have listed 9 line items from seals (including part number and est man hours) to tires and fuel pump.
Does anyone know if these...
Sorry but I didn't see your post in time. I was up at out at 0330. As it turns out, I didn't even have time to check out the two 105's I won yesterday or the deuces that I wanted to take a look at.
I was able to start two of the trucks w/ little more than an either shot on one and the cold...
Very nice subtle improvement. It sure does look better than a flashlight strapped to your head. Passengers never like that b/c when you look at them to talk they can't see again for 15 minutes.
I meant that as a general question not specific to you. Your tow vehicle and trailer are sweet. I mean what are bridge plates used for on deuces and other MV's. I don't rememver that we used them on anything in the AF.
My EUC was sent to BC on the 6th and approved on the 12th.
Bulldog, where are you picking up Friday? I'm going to Camp Dodge with two semi flatbeds on Friday. My gooseneck guy pulled out this morning. T minus two days and I'm already having to adapt and overcome. Not starting out to well...
That "wait until ?? " comment comes up a bunch. Call back the next day or even later that day. You get a diff person and end up right where you want and didn't have to wait. When they tell you they will check and call you back, tell them you'll hold. They seem like good people all in all.
Finally a bright spot. My auction closed 1/22/09, I had one revision for one word wrong and had a cleared EUC on 2/12/09. This was my first GL auction ever. I had lots of phone calls and never received one single EMail from GL other than when I needed the correction. My newb advise is call...
Hi guys, I'm going to Camp Dodge on 2/20/09 for a recovery.
Anyone need anything looked at?
Anyone else going to be there picking up?
My folks did some recon there last week and said there was a "bunch" of trucks on the lot. My auction only had 11 so more are hopefully going on the...
I feel sick to my stomach. I just bought from the Camp Dodge auction. Sure hope I didn't buy that one...although it really doesn't matter. I'm sure most of the trucks get beat sufficiently regardless. It's one thing to imagine how hard they are on them but it's another to have video evidence...
I can relate to your story as I drove M35's in the Air Force and when I saw my first 5 ton it was like a kid seeing a Playboy on the magazine rack but couldn't reach it. We only had a few on base and I never did get to drive one.
I agree the turbo is cool...at first. I love the sound when...
I was not aware of this. I don't do it excessively but do try to slow it some w/the engine to conserve the brakes. Bad idea?
Sorry if this is a hijack but it caught my attention and am now worried/curious
Thanks
Jason
Hi guys
Bless my folks for doing some recon for me today so I could save a vacation day for the actual recovery. Problem is they missed a few "minor" points such as; air shift or not, starts and runs or not, turbo or not. I do know that they have all there tires windshield wipers and...
