I'm wanting to install interior lights and USB chargers for cell phones. ill list below the items I have or am ordering.
So far I have 8 led rock lights like this: https://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-utilityrock-white-led-light-2-pk-57205.html (will draw 35watts total)
I am considering these...
Just seeing the picture and I'm excited. I hope that is a momentary switch for manual glow plug operation. Looks like I have some searching to do.
Back to my old box I tried the glow switch yesterday morning and this morning when chilly out. Only got a flash of wait light. Later yesterday...
Ok known facts. Air in fuel between fuel pump and filter. Check supply between tank and pump. If no air: suspect fuel pump. If air present check hoses for leak. There is a short section of rubber line between tank and hard fuel line. Chances are if it's letting air in it probably letting fuel...
I've been having problems with my alternator. Took it to a shop who ultimately would not work on it. They did take it apart and tell me the brushes Looked good. I ordered a regulator from eBay. While swapping out the regulator i realized there is a 4th pen on the new regulator where there is...
Is that a bleed fitting in the picture? My 998 doesn't have that i dont think. If it does that would have helped me when I ran out of fuel a few weeks ago.
Drove the 998 yesterday. It was around 70. Wait light flashed once. I could hear electrical noises and see the volt meter pulsing on and off. I waited for about 30 seconds and it definitely cranked faster than a non glow plug assisted start.
This morning 50 degrees. Wait light came on like...
I think it is a fuel problem. Check the hoses at fuel tank. I just had an experience of a 998 acting very erratic very similar to your experience. Turns out it was a loose fuel line connection to tank. When running it would suck air along with fuel and send it all through the injection pump...
Installed seats from XXX vendor. I ordered 4 seats and the mounting plate for driver. The seats and plate are very good quality. I did not order the plates they offered for the rear seats. Wish I would have now. I thought it was a kit, well...I guess it was in a way. I was thinking I might get a...
Temps hi80,s late afternoon. Didn't glow.
Temp mid 60's early morning.
Seems like it flashed once very fast and then wouldn't do anything when turn off and back on when hot. Worked fine on cold.
I've read some threads and don't want to hijack current thread.
My wait light/glow system is not working properly. It will not glow with truck cold but weather warm. It will crank but takes longer. I went out this morning with colder Temps and it worked properly. I'm guessing it's the temp...
Well actually I coasted in and couldn't get to the diesel pump. Station only had a 1 gal tank for sale. Soooo 10 trips from pump to 998 (that is blocking half the gas pumps) diesel all over my hands, no soap or paper towels in bathroom. Then had to prime. This was the beginning of a 2 1/2 hour...
After driving with shield installed it seems like the fan does run less. It still runs but less when at speed. The rig is also quieter, at least from drivers perspective.
