The factory tubing is copper. The DOT airbrake tube is a flexible plastic/vinyl/something line that won't require a bender. You can see it here, it's the tube closest to the camera and has the new brass fitting holding it to the side of the switch:
If you do copper, this is the bender I use:
So you can get the air shift upgrade kit. I looked on eBay and didn't see any currently or even recently up.
The NSN for the kit is 2520-00-113-8049 and the part number is 5704132. Looks like:
Eastern has them for $195. I don't see them any cheaper anywhere else.
I have done several of...
Yes.
One pin is ground, another is power in (solid) and the last is power out (flashing).
You can simply use test wires (alligator clips) to connect the pins to the battery and then put a test light on the output pin. Obviously with the unit grounded and a solid 24V feed, the output should...
Folks, we're a little more than 3 months out. So you need to make sure you've got your dukws in a row..................
1. Ensure you have time off from work. You can come out for one day on Saturday, but you will really only see about 20% of the event. This is a big event and it takes...
I have the typical 503 crack in my GPW block. By the distributor. Didn't even know it was there until I was working on the starter. It's been repaired previously and is not currently leaking but I know it's only a matter of time. It's a GPW block but not the original so I am just going to...

That's what I'd do. 129 is small enough that you won't be pushed by 80mph traffic but large enough that there will be lots of restaurants, businesses and such that you can find a safe place to pull over if a problem arises.
If you have a towbar, take it with you. In...

Covers what kind of rope (improved plow steel, fiber core, 6x19 {I think}), size and length.
Even has prices and where people have bought it.
I found it by doing a search for "fiber core" and it was one of the...
A lot of this depends on how you use the truck. If all you're doing is trips to Home Depot and parades, then you can radically decrease the frequency of things like hub service. But if you're in the mud and water, or crawling rocks, that changes things. Any time you're in mud or water that's hub...
I have never seen clear lenses for these. I've seen amber, red and blackout lenses but never clear.
I can say that these would not make good back-up lights. Take a lens out of one and turn it on at night. You'll be surprised.
We left Topeka yesterday at about 8:30 am and got home this morning at 3am. Loooong trip to do in all one shot.
You're welcome. The MVPA National conventions are great events and if I can show people some good pictures and this convinces someone to go to a convention and maybe join the...
I try to take pictures of every vehicle when I go to a convention, but I missed a few this time. Regardless, I have 200+ pics of the event all posted here:

Enjoy!
We had a really good time. The National MVPA and the associate chapters always put on good events and this was no exception.
We had a nice table next to GovPlanet. The Kansas members helped us unload and load and let us borrow some carts.
We saw all of our friends, many of whom we only get...
Clintogf received your PM but she hasn't had a chance to respond. We're in Topeka, Kansas at the MVPA national convention as vendors and have been slammed busy every day from about 0500 until midnight and she hasn't had a chance to respond. She just sent you a pm. Sorry for the delay.
You'd have to assume it's just something that was used for recruiting or some other kind of PR purposes (going to middle schools and talking to kids, etc.).
The 4 cylinder engines are a lot less common. The 2 cylinder engines are also used with one of the small generators, so they're a lot easier to come by.
I suspect SS classifieds, G503 mule forum, eBay, etc are going to end up being your best bet.
I would talk to Emery as well. SS user...
We got our tables set up and left for a few hours to ship a cargo cover kit that sold on eBay. We left early and are hanging out in the room a mile from the convention center. We'll be back first thing tomorrow.
The display area for vehicles is small but the vendor area is large. We have...
