Hi
Times have changed, 20 years ago my son used to drive my military CMPs to high school, on occasion, the only thing that happened was the trucks ended up in the year book.
Cheers Phil
Hi
Another use for hair driers, slower than heat gun, but less likely to scorch the paint. Hot water 160F also works well removing gummy back stickers.
Years ago ran an employment program for youth, one of our businesses was preparing new and used cars for dealers, we would run a special...

Hi
Agree with Duuane, have the cylinders sleeved, this is the route I've taken with all three of my CMPs, first of the trucks got this treatment 30+ years ago and the newest is 12 years ago. Since the none (repeat none) of the trucks have needed to have a wheel or master cylinder replaced...
Congratulations, that's two fine vehicles in a row from New England and both attended the Weare Rally this summer. Congratulations to all the fine vehicles in this month voting.

Hi Lenny
Do you have anything to work from? I've made several harnesses for my MVS using the old harness, take a look at how I did it on my Web site http://canadianmilitarypattern.com/CMP%20Wiring%20Information.htm may give some hints.
Also have you considered buying a freshly made one...
Hi
Thanks for sharing the link and the info it leads to. Will post the traces from my M5 generator, Honda and utility this weekend. To keep the threads focus will post scope traces to the other thread.
Thanks again your traces confirmed what I was seeing.
Cheers Phil
Hi All
Has anybody taken a look at their power on a scope to look at the shape of the wave as well how clean the power is? I've recently been looking at the power from the power from the utility as well as my Honda 3500 and my M5 military generator. Will post some pictures soon of the scope...
Freeze Drying Wet Stuff
Hi
Your question about drying out soft stuff like seats, books is by no means stupid. Actually it right on point for people who have been flooded out. Important books photos, documents, furniture, art, truck seats can be dried out. First step quickly freeze the...
Hi
Question do you need to roll the unit on to soft ground, gravel, etc. or will it be on hard surface like concrete at all times? The wheel unit you show would work better on soft ground but I think will still take a flat spot if the generator stands in one position for any length of time...
I've had poor luck with those furniture movers, the plastic wheels are not ment for constant load they develop flat spots both on the wheels, and the axle. If you want to leave the load on the platform go with solid metal wheels.
My experience was with storing engines under 500lbs. When...
Hi
What the normal nondirectional feel like sort of depends on how old they are. My experience with 900x16 is that they can get hard with age, the seem to last good but they have almost not traction on pavement stand on the brakes and they will lock up on wet road if you push at all it is like...
Hi Again
Just heard this morning from the couple very appreciative of us trying to find someone to help. Must be somebody in the Killington Vt area with a nice photogenic Duce that could help.
Cheers Phil
Wedding help in Killington VT Sept 23rd
Hi
Just got a last minute request from a couple both active Vermont Army National Guard who are getting married at lodge in Killington, VT on Saturday the 23rd of September. They are looking for HUVEE or other military vehicle for the ceremony, had...
Hi
Great photos and experiance. Particularly like the engine photo, last time I saw props bent like that it was back in the early 60s and my dad took me down to see an A1 Sky Raider that some weekend warrior had landed at Anacostia Naval Air Station in Washington, DC. Apparently he had...
Hi
To the question of Detergent or Non-Detergent Oil in WWII vintage engines. Many of them have oil filters and used from the start Non-Detergent. If you know that the engine has had Non-Detergent all along Do Not change to Detergent as it will likely start washing all the deposits out of the...
NO NO the picture has it all wrong that's an experimental electric HMMWV the generator trailer is supplied the power, and they are pushing their support truck that has broken down. Makes more sense than what actually going on right.
Cheers Phil
