It isn't just MVs. I bought my truck a month ago to replace the one destroyed by Ida.
2019 Ram Warlock a month ago was 38k and change.
Checked it yesterday and it's 47k and change. Instant equity!
As far as my 5 ton goes, I declared its value at 23k for replacement, it costs me $19.00/month...
Some folks look forever for a nice one like that... scour the internet... buy deuces, 5 tons and trailers hoping to find a nice one like that....
And other people just pop up with them as their first MV....
But I'm (I mean... those people are) not bitter AT ALL!
😁😅🤣
Welcome to the site!
As far as trucks and parts availability, your limit is really your imagination and budget.
There are plenty of 5 tons and deuces out there, it just boils down to how much you want to invest initially. If you want a 90% teuck and prefer to start your build immediately, obviously you'll pay more...
As far as installing a new PCB, if you have one already, awesome. If you don't and want to save some moolah, follow my post in aboit 10 days. I'll do parts and tools used, where to get parts etc.
Otherwise it's just unscrew the connector at the bottom, unbolt it from the firewall and put the...
You are absolutely correct. It turns out my battery solenoid was stuck, then my start solenoid went out. I bought the solenoids at O'Reilly before I came offshore for $32.00 each and will post a rebuild PCB thread when I get back in covering removal, disassembly, rebuild and reinstallation.
Thanks. And no, wouldn't pull the trailer loaded. Strictly for moving it unloaded and short distances because sometimes the effort of maneuvering the 5 ton in and out of where I want to move it is more of a PITA than the effort, so I dont... 🤷♂️
All-
I have a M105 trailer and to move it around with my truck, I bought this:
While it works, the receiver on my pickup (a Ram 1500 Warlock) is really much too low for practical use. I have to pick the trailer up, fold the landing gear then drop it about a foot and a half and rock it...
Congrats on the win !
Heh.. old Bertha picked up some trophies one weekend too... Best Original Classic, Best in Show Military and Top 20 (voted on by the other owners).
And no... I'm not a killer, serial or otherwise, just fascinated by what made them tick.
Oh and the BTK killer was so smart, but SO DUMB! He was a proper wacko too...
Years ago I was fascinated by true crime and spent **many** hours reading up on serial killers, spree killers etc.
I had an interesting email exchange with Ann Rule, author of "Green River Running Red" about the Green River Killer.
Fascinating stuff.
In North LA, they have the "ambush" site marked on the road where it happened with a stone marker. Pretty somber place. And there's a festival called "Bonnie and Clyde Days" in Gibsland, La. There is a museum etc you should check out.
There's a dude on TikTok that dresses as MM and drives around randomly staring at people at red lights etc... some of the closest I've come to peeing my pants laughing while watching a video.
