    Yermo m1151 missing air filter

I received my Yermo m1151a1 yeserday. It's a runner, so I had to start it immediately to drive it off the car hauler truck. I also had it running for maybe 10 minutes in my driveway just testing things out, checking the AC compressor, gauges, etc. The engine runs and sounds normal to my...

    West Kentucky Surplus

So I bought some of the fiberglass doors that West Kentucky Surplus makes. I've been looking at these for awhile, because in my opinion they are the only reproduction X-doors worth buying. They appear to be an exact (or close to exact) reproduction of the original X-door, even having...

    Locking door handles

Gotcha, I was hoping for a solution like this but for people who don't have the locking door handles. Oddly I only want to be able to lock the door from the inside but not the outside. I'm sure there is a way.

    Locking door handles

Can you explain this better? Do you have a picture?

    Hard-top vs Soft Top

I have hard doors and a soft top. I do like the combination, it looks good and I have no functional issues. I've thought about doing a hard top but I don't think it will have much of a benefit unless I do the full conversion with a turret, which as MarkM mentioned will run 8-10K. That's way too...

    X Door Restoration

Just an update: The first door I fixed with epoxy had some failures. Seems like the expansion/contraction rate of the expoxy is much different than the door. I was able to redo that door with the bondo and its all fixed now. The other door that I originally fixed with bondo is holding up great...

Battery imbalance. Related to dual voltage? Trying to understand electrical system

Is this true even if you dont have a dual voltage alternator? That sounds like something I don't have time for and will never do lol.

Poll - What Directional Switch do you have?

    Thats not solid state, lol!

Poll - What Directional Switch do you have?

So I thought it might be that, but then I thought since it says "solid state" that it probably has an LED not a bulb.

Poll - What Directional Switch do you have?

I have a "C" one. Anyone know what the little half circle wire thing is for?

Did I use the wrong coolant?

Well I'll certainly file this under "things I'm not going to lose sleep over."

Did I use the wrong coolant?

Yeah, if I recall it was labeled as safe for all makes and models. According to Prestone's website there really aren't that many options.

Did I use the wrong coolant?

I used prestone green when I replaced my water pump. In for answers. EDIT: According to the Prestone Safety Data Sheet, it's mostly Ethylene Glycol: https://prestone.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/SDS508-Universal-RTU.pdf

    Any Creative Canvas Door Locks?

Yeah but the petty thief wont know that until after they cut your door open with a utility knife.

    Hard Door Recommendation

Perhaps on materials like wood or fiberglass where there is a grain. I'd be interested to see if there is a source proving that to be true for a homogenous material like aluminum. Edit: toughness sure, but that goes back to my point about flexibility.

    Hard Door Recommendation

I'm not an engineer, but I think that depends on the definition of "strength." I think a laminated material would have more flexibility and less prone to crack. But I don't think the tensile strength or compressive strength would be any higher. I think another variable is whether the two...

    Accelerator pedal issues

Thanks for the info, I think I'll go ahead and do the same thing.

    Accelerator pedal issues

Since I've gotten my M998 I've noticed the accelerator pedal is pretty stiff. It ends up making the engine feel underpowered because you really have to jam on the pedal to get decent acceleration. I've already checked and lubricated all the linkages at the top of the engine (sorry don't know...
