I am looking for the pins for the west coat mirror setup , I picked up some shoulder bolts from McMaster-Carr , should work ok , slightly oversize , which is good for a worn hinge.
I am in the process of replacing door hinge pins , glad they invented a flame wrench , LOL Heat them up and they come right out . Now just have to find the right pins .
383 green , I would say a gallon for everything , as far as the the paint there are MULTIPLE vendors on this site , some also use BEHER paint from Home Depot . Do a search on paint it will bring up LOTS of info .
That wheel kinda looks like a WWII budd wheel , but the 20" rim size is odd . It is OLD military , but I agree hard to put a type on that , maybe a WWII equipment trailer of some sort .
Lefty . need a LITTLE more info from you . There should be data plates on the trailer , which tells you what Model/Series of trailer you have . There are 2 basic styles of light trailers , 3/4 ton & 1 1/2 ton trailers , plus lots of TYPES in those categories . Trailer axles are pretty much the...
how do yo prefer your deuce
I like it with just the racks , but it does look good with the top also . Come spring I will try it with out the racks , just the cargo body.8-)
Thanks Carlo , it should have early trailer that used the Budd wheels , this is a later model trailer with late models axle , but like I said , it works for me and more important the price was right , $400 , with the fiberglass racks and bows , but no canvas .
When you pulled the MAG out to replace the points , did you re install the MAG correctly and not out of time . There is a whole section in the TM about overhauling the Magneto on a mule. Did it have spark before you started ?
Nice MV , looks like the Fork Lift damage is not to bad , would look good with a new OD paint job . I have not seen many DUALLY 1028's . I would try and get it running first and check all the systems , then make your decision .
I picked up a set of convoy lights for my Deuce and I have the TM's and info from this forum , and the only thing I am still need some help with is what size clamps will work with the mounting plates behind the cab and what bolt holes to use . I picked up some 3/8' X 2" U bolts from...
Exhaust stack and soft top come off pretty easy , and the mirrors fold . Plus you can remove the cargo cover and seats . The trucks were designed to fit in a standard shipping container . This site has some GREAT people and LOTS of good INFO on your MV . Also you should try to find a local MV...
I am fortunate that I live in the country and have acreage , so parking MV's are not a problem , only limited by my WALLET, LOL. Matter of fact a lot of the "MUCK FARMERS " use MV's to get the onions and cabbage out of the fields in the fall .
Put in 2 new Interstate 6TL's in my duce , plus new cable ends . Starts like NEW ! LOL . It had 2 Exide's that were only 4 years old . go figure . Local Interstate dealer gave me a good price on the Batteries , also said he gets Blem's from time to time .
thanks , it's getting there , rides a lot better with the 395's . Look around for a set of 395's and don't forget new o-rings and tire valve grommets when you change tires . BTW , 3 out of the 4 rear wheel CTIS o-rings were leaking gear lube into the bearings , so that would be the number one...
