i have used a file to remove the crimp sleeve from the old fittings and used regular fuel hose from the auto store. just put a couple of clamps on for security.
been working for years
i may be repeating myself. if so please forgive me. a little real world experience but with an 002A. i run my whole house and ranch on one 002A sometimes for weeks at a time. the house is 1500 sqfeet central gas heat,220 volt 1.5 hp submersible well pump running the house and watering 200...
Thanks. is there a separate panel that goes between the 1.5 KW generator and the batteries to just charge the batteries? or i guess i am asking if there is some kind of charge controller or DCVR to protect the batteries?
sorry i wasn't clear. i meant to say get a DC charging gen for batt maintenance and keep the 002a for backup emergency and for powering equipment that the inverter can't handle. i would run a fuel comparison first. and definitely ask your neighbors what they do and if you can don't try...
on some of my other equipment with cummins diesels or perkins and new holland there is installed into the intake a flame heater or hot start. it works by either plumbing into the return fuel line or by having a tiny reservoir to supply the flame heater with fuel. when engaged there is a small...
i was considering matching the load to the gen set for fuel economy also. generally speaking an 802A uses about half of the diesel that an 803A uses . when my 002A 5kw is running the farm, house propane heat gas water heater and electric cloths dryer well pump and all appliances happen to...
no it was a white box about 1.5 inches square with one black wire out each end. it was attached on one end to the mounting screw of the terminal block and the other end to the 24 vdc lead out of the terminal block where the DCVR connects and the 24 VDC regulated current flows to the control...
something interesting about the former installation was the addition of maybe a resister between the 24v supply out of the regulator and grounded to the buss bar frame mount. what was that for? not to worry it is gone now.
have you added up your load to make sure you need a 10kw? there are still 002a and 003a gen sets out there also. most like low hours machines but i don't mind a machine with a couple of thousand hours on it either.
