As I sit and pile through information and previous threads.......the ST85 is all metal. Does that mean it is grounding to the body? What have others done to remedy this since this appears to be commonly used replacement for CUCV's?

So back in March, I installed the LMC dash. I am Pretty happy with the fit and it survived a Sacramento summer without warping or cracking so I am happy with it so far.
Cool and I like these, but I don't think they would work on the rear with the dual tires unless you get spacers, which brings on its own set of issues.

Mine is the same way. I am guessing that those are for structural integrity of the tailgate as it is two pieces , not including the top and bottom caps.
Welcome....I bought my first 1028 this year and spent about 2 months making it new again and trying to keep it as it was 36 years ago. Lots of fun and I love driving it around. I thought mine had low miles at 27,500. Starts right up and cruises along at 55 LOL.
