I believe that I had stated that the Fact is we live in a Republic. Enough about that from I.
Well I am just going to say without going into some kind of diatribe that in reality you may own possessions, but you are just renting the land that you live on. Either you pay your taxes or the State...
Well you could try a salvage outfit for your shaft, or have one built. But I would save the take off parts, driveshaft. Good thing there are still plenty of parts around, unless you live in the rust belt.
Congrats Hillwalker, Enjoy every minute of install, fabrication ahead. I have to look around the forum and see if someone has done a trans doubler. But that is the very kit I would like to try. Good Luck!:p
Well maybe using the word "anarchy" was not the word that should have been used. The word was meant to be used as the"last chance", not the end of the world. I believe the word may be taken out of context by some, if so that was not my intention.
There are so many laws on the State and Federal...
Say Andy1234, is the M26 still there and is the Cat willing to deal. I am in the thinking mode. That's not far from Cuba Mo. and maybe I know a friend that might be interested if everything would fall together, and to complete resto, or engine complete.
I am Truly Impressed with the drivetrain used on the M26. I would think that the drive system used would be dated at the very least. Thanks for the photos Troop!

Short hops at first, look again, and get that truck some camo. But I guess white is camo...
The selling of military surplus has been going on for mmm years. At least from my knowledge early 1900's, considering firearms and many other things. Now there is a reciprocity agreement on many but not all things. The States have to abide by the Federal Constitution for many things, I will pick...
So it looks like Tabatha has been put into a box over all the attention instead of letting her find a clean way to do the titling or respond before her name was put all over the net.
Not trying to be, or cause issues but maybe this is not the place to use a persons name in public forum...
Whatever you build, will never be big enough. Overbuild, man doors, overhead doors, ceiling joists. Concrete floor thickness, foundation, reinforcing steel in concrete.
Wood, concrete block, metal, or all three, you can always add on additions. So think ahead about where would be the best...
Welcome to the Forum, although I am new also.
When I go to the local salvage yards I look at every 81 to 91 Chevrolet truck or Blazer, Suburban and buy the good condition doors, fenders, wheel wells, hoods, tailgates. I will never run out of replacement parts because I spend the time and source...
Maintenance, exercise of the seals, which I believe is movement of the engine and drivetrain if so equipped. Fluid additives I think are also necessary with the age of some of the equipment in that todays fluids do not have the required properties needed for protection. Zinc, sulfur important...
