Change the harmonic balancer with a new G.M. balancer. My balancer seemed fine also. After I replaced it the new balancer smoothed out the entire engine. The engine ran and idled much better.
I just replaced front and rear spring bushings, and I am listing the correct poly bushing numbers. The correct Energy Suspension kit for the front spring bushings is 3.2105 This kit will do both sides of the front suspension. The rear suspension has three different size bushings per rear spring...
I re-measured and I checked the manual. The rear shackle bushings take the same bushings. So it is either 1"1/2 or 1"3/8. CUCVRUS remembers them to be 1"3/8. I Think he is right. He has changed allot of them and my second measurement seems to confirm this. Any one else have any other thoughts...
Thanks, I have checked the measurements the best I can. I thought the front rear spring was 1"3/4 the rear spring 1"1/2 and the bottom shackle 1"3/8, I must be wrong because I can't find the kit with these measurements. My measurements might be off. I will try again.
I looked at what you guys said this morning and spotted the through bolts with a flashlight. Thank you for your help. I will remove the grill and get on with it.
I removed the bolts on the two rear and the two middle body mounts on my M1008 but the two on the front have a threaded rod with a nut on it that just spins when I try to remove it. What is the procedure for the front mounts? I am replacing the front and rear shackle bushings with Energy...
Thanks for the help. I didn't know that the vacuum pump readings fluctuates. I feel some relief. I know the pumps are getting scarce so I thought I should grab one for insurance.
