Atomic, godawgsdv8, and myself made it home safely around 1615 hours. We suffered two breakdowns but worked through those issues and still made it in about 6 hours for an amazing average of 31 mph. Not a bad trip at all and I had a great time visiting with some great friends this weekend.
Not sure but I'm sure the DT Lodge will help decide that. My boy's are 8 and 5 and they rode as spectator's for free last year so they should be fine and free this year but I'll check tomorrow and as long as the internet up there is ok, I'll post back. I think I payed about 125 for camping...
Cabin fees, trail riding fees and all that still need to be done at the Durhamtown Lodge. I'm also told that DT will be checking for armbands before you hit the trails to ensure that DT has been paid. They are always out in the mornings and afternoon but I've been told they will be there at...
I get a chance to ride in another well finished truck. Hopefully Dumpster can provide some back seat room for me this year. I've gone on some awesome trail rides in his gasser Tipper and that man is a class act to be sure. Take care of his Stetson, he needs it anytime he exits his truck along...
dhwife,
PM me a list of what you would need if you are interested in making some. My youngest son Joey just turned 8 yesterday. We are bringing some cupcakes to the campfire Saturday night before the trailride and wanting to hold a little celebration but those tri-color cupcakes last year...
Brandon, I just need about 4 hugs if ya'll make it and none from you, just a handshake. Jennifer needs to hug Me, Lee, Joey and Briggs!! She'll have to lean down to hug the last two boy's but she's done that the past few years so I doubt that will be a problem. I hope ya'll get a chance to...
I did get a new cordless 1/4" drive impact today. Alot of people laugh at it's usefulness but I'll bet alot of them will be surprised once they see it in action.
I can help until about 4 or 5 on Friday and will only be bringing some knowledge and hands. After that, I will be getting my wife and boys settled in and conducting trail rides. I'll bet it out of the truck before I leave though.
I browsed through the thread but did not see anything else concerning communications. My group of 3 trucks will be equipped with CB's operating on channel 13 and we will certainly be out on the trails. If we come up with an extra, we may be able to put it at the registration tent and I know...
Mr. Lloyd,
My wife is going to be quite upset with you this go around. She loves when you have boiled peanuts to share with your fellow Rallygoers. I guess instead we'll just be thankful for another year and the fact that you can make it. I've got a few friends who are dropping out of this...
If you want a fun ride on the trails, hit up Dumpster!!! Mr. Jeff is an awesome gentlemen and drive's his gasser dump truck with precision and skill that will outclass most anyone on the trails. He is a very smooth and collected gentlemen but don't make an attempt to touch his Stetson that...
Sir,
Find a flight into ATL otherwise known as Atlanta International Airport and I'm sure someone from the North GA area will be more than happy to pick you up. It's out of my group's way but I'd be willing to bet that we could re-arrange our schedule. As for driving, my Deuce will be there...
I really wish that you were not on such a compressed schedule this year. Please try to convince Mrs. Deb to come down and do Smore's with Lee and the boy's by the big fire on Saturday night. I'm sure I have cabin space that ya'll can sleep in as I rented out Kay's Keep which is right outside...
These are the only pictures I have of Tigger unfortunately. He was a heck of a man and I'm sure I speak for the whole crowd in saying that We Will Miss Him. I hope someone can save and print these pictures off and add them to the display. If anyone is game to do so, please do as I don't have...
I have a few pictures of Matt from about 2 or 3 years ago when he was trying to follow Ferro through some holes. He'd try them even after Ferro would have be drug out of them when he was piloting the M818 of Death as it came to be named. I sure hate that "Doc" will only be able to join us in...
The sign would probably work pretty good. I can say that so far this seems to be a real honest group of folks and most of the vendors are a fairly close knit group. Normally when I bring stuff to sell, I leave it with a vendor I know and I tell him what I would like to get for an item. If he...
Just now seeing this. Most of the MTVR manuals are on CD in the newer Interactive Electronic Technical Manual format. They did release some PDF type manuals when the trucks first come out. Let me look around when I get to work tomrrow and I may be able to help. I know I can get the IETM...
Do you have power being applied to the starter solenoid small wire? There is a relay on the driver's side frame rail that you could check as well. Honestly, you've likely got a bad starter solenoid on the starter itself. In the National Guard, we change out a starter on these trucks most...
