From what I’m told, and that ain’t much, mostly the problem is side impact. You need to upgrade vehicle to specks of 2006 re.: impact. Emissions is easy to deal with.

With respect, it is just flat windshield material. Go to a junk yard, buy a large flat front windshield from a bus or truck, take it to a windshield place and have them cut it to size and install.

Time for a new engine and use this one as a boat anchor. If the engine was rare or valuable you could weld and sleeve it, but in this case it is cheaper to just save the internal parts and heads and get a new engine. IMHO. YMMV.
