Why Blue Hummer Spindle Nuts? Hummer H1’s video answer!

I have no affiliation with blue hummer or mm. I feel that if you keep up on the system like you say in your post, you are probably safe. For the rest of us lazy bastids, blue hummers are an additional safety factor. Please post images of the later version you’re referring to, as I think I know...

Why Blue Hummer Spindle Nuts? Hummer H1’s video answer!

Dude! I don’t understand your denial of this issue. The freakin’ thing was loose. It was loose on a used driven military vehicle that was sold on GovPlanet. The hub was properly closed and sealed. These things when properly installed are torqued down and can’t be twisted by finger. They don’t...

Why Blue Hummer Spindle Nuts? Hummer H1’s video answer!

Possible but his hubs had oil and the bearings spin properly. He drained them in order to service when he noticed this hub was loose. This looks like a poorly serviced and or poorly tightened and or poorly secured nut had backed off.

Why Blue Hummer Spindle Nuts? Hummer H1’s video answer!

I eventually will work with Hummer H1 in order to post this under Hummer H1’s profile. These videos are taken by Hummer H1 on his new-to-him GovPlanet non-runner that he rehabilitated. It is now a runner. I don’t want to delay posting this anymore because I promised to get it on this forum...

What is the difference in the driving experience between the A2 trucks and the REV trucks?

Higher RPM is due to differentials geared at 3.08. Anyone can aftermarket switch them to 2.73 or 2.56 to diminish RPM my friend. They are all turbo 6.5 GEP so hp is similar (unless you are in the Middle East and find a p400 on the battlefield). They all have 4L80e. Xfer case is different...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Take pictures. Rub them on tissue to prove there is Diesel residue. That proves they are used. Then return them and insist on a new set in the box! Those look like a returned set they are trying to re-sell. I never expected that from HPG.

Trans Light on when the Run Switch is Off?

Mog, that’s what my questions are meant to confirm brother.

Trans Light on when the Run Switch is Off?

If you can turn on your lights when the ignition is off, or operate the flashers, then you know.

    Surging, stumble and stall

If your Mack was computer controlled then the PCM a went bad causing WOT. We do not have PCM with DB2 IP’s.

You can also buy split two piece 17 inch Hutchinson rims meant for Hummer H1. You can also modify 17” Hummer H2 rims to fit.

    thoughts on electric fuel pump

AM General civilian/General Motors switched to an electric pump. Part of this had to do with the fact that the mechanical pump runs off the camshaft and eccentrically places load on the camshaft bearings so that oil pressure begins to fall and engines then stop running. There is a fix for this...

    Wheel and tire questions

CEPEKs-Expensive BUT an exact fit and literally bullet proof. or… You Should speak with Hummer H1. 300,000 miles on various steel 16.5x37’s over the years and he swears by them.

Scuba tank compressor is like $200 on Ebay

    M1114 B pillar question.

There are differing b-pillars for soft and hard tops. There is further difference between certain hard top door striker pieces. If you’re staying soft, b-pillars are $300 plus or minus. Start looking on our classifieds. Post a WTB. They are all over that auction site too.

    "Wait" Light not illuminating

Might be relative to ambient temperature. The glow plug temp sensing unit /TSU gives feedback to the PCB/EESS. Colder temps might require more time. Your unit does not sound too bad to me BUT it is possible you need a PCB/EESS repair with upgrade seen on post 51. Otherwise PM me and I can help...

    ON BOARD AIR?

Hey Mog, seems to me you’re not the only one who bought one of those setups. Coug, the pics you posted are bang on. Now my new to me M1165 has 12k spindles so it is ready for CTIS. Looks like I will be setting it up. I already have the CTIS manifold from an H1 Hummer. 😉 IIRC, I bought my...

    6.5 Motor replacement cost

Mogman. Nice find BUT that’s a n/a $2000 engine. $8500 is way too much IMHO.
