I was one of those people. I had just got the units and had not had time to do any significant research on them. You don't have to be an arrogant DH. You really don't. At least we weren't too proud to ask for help, and I do appreciate the help I received. I own a plumbing and electrical supply...
Don't know. Will not crank. Apparently it has internal damage. No connecting rods through block though. Any idea what brand of engine it is? I'm going to start tearing it down later this week.
What is the function of the small braided line that loops up and around the top of the engine then back down on the opposite end, runs along the bottom of the gen housing and disappears under the radiator. It has diesel fuel in it. Bypass return line to fuel tank? It's leaking.
Thanks.
While running one of my MEP803a's during Irma, it appears unit 2 suffered a catastrophic engine failure. Don't know why, engine had adequate oil and coolant. Any ideas?
I located the phase selector switch behind the control panel which was set to 3 phase, changed it to 120/240 single phase, and adjusted the adjustment screw on the regulator module.
Works perfect now.

Thanks to all who responded. Got both generators dialed in to 60Hz and putting out a full 240 volts. Looks like we're going to need them.
Thanks again, you guys are the bomb!

Thank you sir. Looks like we'll be dealing with a Cat 1 when it gets up here. No problem. Those poor souls in South Florida are going to be devastated.

Ok, I know what the selector switch is. I'll check it tomorrow and also write down the voltage across the different legs. I need to make sure this thing is working. We may lose power as a result of the hurricane.
Thanks everyone!

Hello,
I have a dual MEP803A setup and cannot get a voltage reading higher than 212 vac across any combination of outputs on either generator. I have the voltage adjustment maxed. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Russ

Got a quote today to ship a M925A2 from southern Missouri to North Florida for $1400.00. I think that is a very fair price.
