    frost plug heaters

Hi I can't see how it wouldn't ,seeing how it's at the lowest point on the engine. Each time I have replaced one it drains at that point and comes out with a heavy flow. So I'm lost at this point. I'm thinking I'll have to change to a different type of heater unless someone comes up with another...

    frost plug heaters

Hi I am on my third heater. The first one lasted about a year and a half. The second about three months and the last about three weeks. All three are Kat heaters. I have made sure that the heating element wasn't touching on the inside and I never had them plugged in over four hours. Has...

    Frost plug heater

Sir All of these posable causes did not apply. The only one is starting with the heater still plugged in but as soon as it started I unplugged the heater. When the heater was working before it would start right away. Ken

    Frost plug heater

Hi I installed a Kat's frost plug heater last year and it worked fine for a year and then went bad. I installed another one a month ago and it has gone bad also. I used the latest one about six times. Has anyone else had any problems with this brand? Is anyone using a different brand with good...

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Solved the problem of air in the fuel line. It ended up being the fuel pump. This surprised me seeing that the pump was only 2 years old. As I stated before I placed a clear section of tubing between the fuel filter output and the injector pump and cranked her over and there was air in the...

    Fuel pump part number

Hi Sorry gentleman but I tried searching the internet and had no luck. Guess I was just not asking the right questions. As for the TM's I was not aware that I would be able to find a none military part number within them. Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi Well I hooked up a clear line from the input on the fuel pump to the line coming from the fuel tank. Had the wife crank her over for about 30 sec. with no air showing up in the line. So the problem I think has to be between the fuel pump output and the input to the fuel filter. I cant...

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Glider How would I check the line from the pump to the tank for air? If the fuel pump diaphragm was bad would it just not pump fuel? Could it be something with the vent line on the pump? Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi I did the fuel into the jar and it looked like I was getting air in the fuel. To make sure I added a two foot section of clear hose from the pump to the fuel filter and turned her over. It shows a lot of air in with the fuel. I took the fuel tank cap of and still the same. I'm not real...

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi I tried removing the fuel tank cap and it made no difference. Also the fuel filter drain valve is tight. She started for me yesterday. I had to crank her over for about 15 sec. with no smoke then she started puffing smoke and started but would kill. I did this a couple times and found out...

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi I guess I used a wrong word. Instead of serge I should say That the engine RPM is going up and down and then it kills. Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

OK She started for me and I let it run for a couple minutes. Came back 20 minutes later and she started but started to serge and then killed. I did this a couple more times with the same results. Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi When I remove one of the injector lines to an injector and crank the engine over, how much fuel should be coming out of the line? Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi I had changed the fuel filter last year and as much fuel is coming out of the line from the fuel pump going into the filter as is coming out of the filter so I think the filter is fine. Ken

Engine started surging coming home and then died.

Hi Ok, I checked the air filter and it was fine. I Unhooked both the input and output on the fuel filter lines and fuel is coming out real good. I unhooked one of the injector lines at the cylinder and fuel does weep out of the line. I just don't know how much should be coming out. Any thoughts...
