I know what you are saying Kenny, but up here the woods and trees are tight. You can't alway get a straight pull on the winch. If the pull is on a angle the cable wraps quickly on one side. If anyone wants to see what I mean, Go from your front bumper in to your seat 5 times in a row. Tiring huh?
I have the stock pto winch on my truck and love it. I can use it by myself, but you have to keep stopping to see if the cable is wrapping properly if you are alone. I use my winch alot pulling trucks out and it is way eaiser with soldier B telling you the cable is not bunching up on one side or...
Part of my garage buisness is towing and offroad recoverys. The reason I want a electric winch is the ease of use by one person. My rear application is intended for uses than other than pulling out my deuce. I have a pto winch on the front and would love to have one onthe rear also, but I...
Radiator is recored and reinstalled. Wow does the truck cool alot better. With the winter cover on and even pushing the motor it runs 180. Is that OK? One of the engines in my boat broke the valve springs from running too cold. Thanks Mark
Thanks. When I restored the cab and the seats, I used marine grade sunbrella material used for boat tops. Had some left over so we sewed a vinyl backing to it and 4 eyelets for 2 small bungee cords. USMC is in flat black paint and stencils are from homedepot. Pics of the seats are in the photo...
My son and I took our deuce to the NJ pinebarrons sat. We went through this hole after they pulled out a Hummer H2 sunk up to the headlights. What a blast!
I remember when I got my deuce a year ago! My Christmas present to myself. Thanks again self ! Congrats new deuce owners. Its a fun ride!
P.S. If all goes wrong, you still have this site to count on!
Are you talking about the arm on the box? If so you will need a puller. Apply pressure with the puller, then strike the round part with a hammer stopping to crank more on the puller. Some are very stubborn but will come off. Mark
I don't think thats it because its been overcharging for a year. I keep the lights on when I start it to eat up some of the extra juice, but its time to fix it. Mark
Well, right now I have the radiator out for recore. That when I saw this adjustment. Also the belts are off, easy to change right now. Which do I have gen or alt? How can I tell the difference? Thanks
I think my truck is overcharging. The gauge reads high and the batterys are a little wet on top. I saw a allen screw with a plate that says turn to raise or lower voltage. Do these units have a built in voltage regulator? I have a spare unit that came with the truck, but want some info before I...
My deuce starts great in cold weather with the flameheater. I have the herc engine, rebuilt depot in 87. I did have problems starting when I first got the truck. It turned out to be the batterys. They tested good, but would not start the truck when it was cold out. Most all engines need maximum...
