Well........that sucks like a Hoover.
It's been my experience from being a long haul truck driver that a lot of Swift drivers are inexperienced rookies that have very little practical knowledge of trucking. Swift is an entry level company that hires anything breathing that can get a...

You would not want the center axle to steer unless you wanted the ability to "crab".
On the Gamma Goat, the PLS and HETT the front and last axle steer which allows a tighter turn radius.
To add it to an existing vehicle would require a lot of fab work and a good knowledge of steering...

For the tires on the M927A2 I remove the tire from the truck, put it the back of my pickup truck using the front end loader on the tractor and take it to my tire guy that has all the right equipment.
His guys do all the work and I usually pay about 35 bucks for them to breakdown...

Welcome to the Green Iron Laughing Academy.:cookoo:
I'd tell to run now while you still had a chance but you've already indulged in the "gateway truck" of military vehicle addiction.
Cut up your credit cards and give the checkbook to a responsible adult. If you go to a military...

This is why I quit doing long distance recoveries.
I hope you get the issue resolved and get back on the road quickly.
We are all rooting for you and you have guys working the issue as I type.
Good luck.

For what it would cost for a conversion to a camper you could just buy a bumper pull camper and install a Reese hitch on the truck. This would leave your bed for hauling stuff. My recommendation would be a 900 series 5 ton since the market is flooded with them (assuming they are...
I was in two different HETT units, one active Army and one Reserve unit, and I never heard of a 377 truck. What's the skinny? You can PM me if you want to maintain OPSEC.
Since the thread concerning the pulled 900 series trucks has been locked I would like to comment in this thread.
I received a call from Congressman Aderholt's Washington DC office after I visited the local office in Gadsden. This was after I talked to CSMDavis and he informed me that the trucks...

:soapbox: I just stopped by my congress critters office and told them if this has anything to do with emissions that the EPA needs to be gutted like a fish. It's not like the emissions for hobby vehicles and vehicles used for farm related work are going to make any difference in...

If we get through with the movie shoots next week I may escape and evade my way up there and arrive early Friday morning. I have some big boy size 2013 GA Rally T shirts left. I'll pimp them for 10 bucks each to try to make fuel money. I'll root through the parts pile and post anything...

The only thing that lies more consistently than a career politician is a military vehicle fuel gauge. I use the dipstick method myself......belt and suspenders you know.

You would be better off to add a receiver hitch and pull a trailer to haul your toys. If you got half way up a ramp and fell off the side it would not be pretty.

The rebuild facility at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, did some prototyping of up armored 900 series 5 tons and some of them are still there but are slated to end up on the tank range as targets.
Your tax dollars at work.
