No, there is usually a sticker or a plate on the upper right corner of the driver's door. If you buy a truck without doors like I seem to do, then you have to find out the old fashioned way. I haven't heard of any trucks with front lockers.
The FEPP are getting some of the A2 trucks. I saw this one a few weeks ago at Portsmouth. I was drooling heavily and snapping a thousand pics when the GL guy came up to me and said it wasn't going up for auction. I was heartbroken. It needed a bunch of work to a bunch of things, but it was...
Here's my 923A2 project before and after. I really wanted to sandblast and paint it, but alas it had to be sold before I could finish it.
The real winner will be when I get the 925A2 finished!!
Sorry, yes I meant 5 speed. Oops. Good catch Ross. You can tell it's been a while since I have driven one. Hopefully that will change early next year.
I fixed my earlier post to avoid confusion.
The 939 trucks have the NHC-250 and NDT duals. The 939A1 trucks have 14.00R20 super-singles and the NHC-250. The 939A2 trucks have the CTA 8.3L Cummins, singles, double shackles up front, and CTIS. Any of them could be updated with the ABS MWO. USMC trucks are either 939's that have been fit...
RE: From the Army 1997 Weapon Systems book
First, congrats Bruce! Second, where are the pics?!?! :D
Lanty, I have thought the same thing about the body lift. The weight of the cab and its contents should not change the COG that much and it would have been a lot easier and better looking than...
Yes, the M925A2 is the latest of the 939-series 5-ton cargo truck with a winch and CTIS. There are not a whole lot of them out there. John Winslow has a fully restored for sale. Be prepared to pay $20k plus for a running and driving truck. Or, you can do like me, Bkubu and a few other guys...
I got a call from Tommy today with some good news. He has tracked down all of the parts that we needed to finish the truck. He's got a set of rear splash guards coming to replace the bents ones as well as a good driver's side fuel tank to replace the bent one. He's also getting ready to...
Now it's on SS. I can't believe I didn't catch that before. I'll work on the rest of the series when I get time.

Thanks Joe. I am finally getting around to uploading them to SS. Here's the OP manual:

So how did the 923 perform off-road?!
There are several members on the site that make stencils too. I don't know if they do the stars, but they can definitely do any text that you want. PM me for their info if you are interested as I'm not sure if they want me advertising for them :)
Welcome to site! We are always glad to hear what others are saying about us here.
From what you have said, I would think a M1009 CUCV would serve you well. They are relatively low to the ground (compared to a deuce)for ease of entry, the auto tranny is easy to deal with, they do pretty well...
John, these are the rims I was telling you about:

I don't have any tires though. Berg had them the last time I checked. You are about 5 hours from me. There always seems to be someone on SS...
OK, now I am confused here. I thought I knew everything there was to know about bolt together rims. The ones on the M52A2 truck above have 16 clamp-ring studs and look just like the rim that M1075 posted in the other thread as a HEMTT 2-piece rim. The rims that John posted have 12 clamp-ring...
