Well, I fixed my "overheating" problem with Isabell. From the time I bought her (03.04.11) until now the temp gauge would take some time to hit 200 F and after a period of driving it would creep to 230 F and stay there. She never used or leaked a drop of coolant. I never heard gurgling...
The only inspection required is to verify that the VIN is placed on the exterior of the vehicle in one spot. I chose the front bumper. The trooper also verifies the dash VIN matches the bill of sale and insurance. I was in and out in 10 minutes or less at Troop A in Baton Rouge.
Updates as of 06/14/11:
- replaced the D turbo with a C turbo "whistler" (drilled manifold and put a plug while waiting to buy an ISSPRO boost/pyro gauge)
- removed the cargo cover, hoops, bows, etc. and put them in storage
- mounted two fog lights on the front bumper
