    Technical Manual Request

I don't think there is a -20. I think they went straight to a -24-1 and -24-2 to go with the -24P parts manual. The only 9-2320-387-20 I could find is an MWO, not a TM

Connector/Breaker in Co-pilot rear seat compartment

lots of options on how to keep these charged. Personally I like the NO.CO GEN5X2 marine battery charger. Hardwired to each battery; it charges them independently. I was lucky when I bought my plug that someone was selling a couple used ones for pretty cheap. Haven't seen any for sale like...

Connector/Breaker in Co-pilot rear seat compartment

It's a circuit breaker. If a wire shorts out, it's supposed to trip before you burn up the whole truck. It's just the wire/breaker through which the transmission control module gets it's power. Without it you're stuck in 2nd gear limp mode.

Fuel Pump to Fuel Filter Hard line

I only figured it out doing a word search for "fuel filter" and checking each page that came up until something seemed correct.

    SF97 question

Unfortunately it takes however long it takes. SF-97s can sometimes take a couple months, but it isn't unheard of for them to take up to a year (not common, but does happen) Not really anything you can do about it, and nothing else you can submit to make it go any faster. I can't comment on...

Fuel Pump to Fuel Filter Hard line

Wowser, that's a difficult one to figure out. I am about 90% certain the part you want is referred to as "tube assembly, metal" The reason it's so hard to figure out is it's not with the fuel lift pump or the fuel filter, but it's listed on the fuel injection pump list, as it runs alongside the...

M1114 Power Steering Pump Replaced and Have Spares!

the higher pressure unit is supposed to be for the Sheppard steering box, not the standard one you have. It would probably work, but higher pressure would mean higher chance of failure to the steering box as it isn't designed for the extra pressure.

    HMMWV REV truck brakes

For the Wolfer/Comtac link, they list that as being every part number associated with that particular NSN That's not how the part numbers are supposed to work. Those part numbers listed are all from different manufacturers, meaning that if it is one of those part numbers, it can't also be a...

No beadlock / run flat PSI

If it were mine I wouldn't worry about anything over 20psi. That is a lot of force on the tire bead/rim. Even at lower pressure, you aren't just going to lose the tire off the rim without some major outside force. If you aren't always driving onto curbs or major potholes at high speed, then...

Alternator V-Belts rattling. Should I replace?

Might want to make sure the rear bracket for the generator that goes to the exhaust stud hasn't sheared off the exhaust stud that it goes to. Mine looked like it was all there and in place, but the stud the bracket goes on sheared off at the block so the nut for the exhaust manifold and the one...

Something strange: M1123 HMMWV 30kw On Board Generator Equipped Prototype 6.5L 4-speed

I've been seeing that one for sale for a long time now on various places. Interesting concept, but ultimately it's much more useful to just have a separate generator to run whatever you need to

    Serpentine belt replacement

on the ones I've worked on, go from the driver's side top, and push down on the belt at the idler pulley over there. With a little body weight behind it, you can slip the belt right off that idler no problems. From there it's loose enough to get it off of the other idler, and then the...

    Hutchinson Run Flat Lubricant

I'll agree with not really needing it for civilian use. With the rubflat lubricant you can run 30 miles at 30 miles per hour. In the civilian world, you just need to get to the nearest safe spot to either change the tire, or to get recovered.

    M1152 Low Top Speed

One other thing, your truck does require a 12V feed to power the transmission control module. The 60 amp gen and aftermarket 24V alternators do NOT have a 12V feed. If you try to go that route you will have to figure out some way to feed 12V to the rear battery to keep the TCM functional and not...

    Hydrolocked, big repair ahead.

as long as it shows oil pressure and it goes up and down with engine RPMs. Don't trust the gauges to be accurate, just keep an eye on how they behave,, and if they start acting differently then worry. As long as the fan kicks in, temp drops 10-20 degrees then kicks off again, then cooling...

    gov. sales ending?

Odds are very high it's complete BS Just this month the DLA got told to stop scrapping everything and send it out to be distributed to agencies that want it or sold to the public. At worst someone up top is going to try playing more games and not release them, but from all reports that...

    Hydrolocked, big repair ahead.

The transmission will do fine with either DEX VI or DEX III. They will both work the same for you. The only real benefit is only having to keep one spare fluid on hand rather than two or three different ones.

    Hydrolocked, big repair ahead.

So DEX II was replaced by DEX III in all applications a long time ago. Then about 20 years ago they came out with DEX VI Not long after DEX VI came out GM started having an increased failure rate in transfer cases and gearboxes. They put out a bulletin that basically says that DEX VI should...

Did I use the wrong coolant?

isn't cavitation only an issue with the wet liner type engines, not cast cylinder blocks?
