    Dropside tie down point rating

I've used them as sling points for removing a 5 ton bed. They are much tougher than they appear.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I'm just the opposite. In a sick way, I enjoy working on drum brakes.

    Project m1010

How do you plan on running the A/C? Second compressor or repurpose the A6 that came on the truck?

    Florida DMV Trip

Jupiter is in Palm Beach County. I'd not be too worried about Martin County Code Enforcement. To get the antique tag, fill out 83045 and send it to Tallahassee. If you attempted at your local tag office, you were rightfully declined.

    Rear wheels stuck on

If you're swapping axles, leave the rims on. Makes it easier to roll out.

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Nope, I still have kids at home and frankly, if anything pops on my 6.2, I'll install an LS. Originality is not as important as it once was for me. As for your truck, it's a work of art and I watch with baited breath for it's completion.

Avoid Titan 32” thumb on the FLU419

I suggest that anyone who has any type of excavator/back how consider a thumb. Don't laugh, I have a Massey 1710 subcompact tractor and MF offered a factory built thumb. I can't believe how much I use it.

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

I can't begin to imagine what that set you back. With that said, it looks like that external girdle and pan could be added to a 6.2. As usual, top shelf stuff.

    Another M1010 owner

It's a great source of radio power too for the green radio crowd.

    Another M1010 owner

There is that yellow Anderson connector that rarely gets noticed. Note that as shipped, it has both plugs. This one does too. I hook my combat crock pot up here.

    Rear wheels stuck on

I've sat in front of the tire like I was removing it and kicked at it from the seated position. Usually works. On others I've used a prybar between the back of the rim and the drum. Just think, the brake drum will be even worse.

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Glad to see that your recoup time has paid off.

M101a2 trailer bed on a M116 running gear

You could likely build them out of steel bar stock.

First time CUCV owner. M1008. New member from Alabama.

    Looks super nice to me.

    Tire changing tools

I have converted a Rigid 18V drill and recip saw to run off the slave plug. I gutted a battery and they work great. My wife carries a Milwaukee M18 impact in her car. I have plenty of M18 stuff at home. She swaps out her battery every few months with one of mine. Been doing this for quite a...

    M1028 No Lights/Wiring Issue

In the 289-20 you will find schematics in the appendix. These should really help.

DIY gin pole and Alaskan sawmill from oilfield scrap

I love this. Great job on the ginpole system.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

After developing a steering issue on the SECM looking truck, I recruited soldier B to help diagnose. Found the problem and it was not pretty and completely avoidable. 3 years or so ago I swapped out the front axle. In true screwed up fashion, I didn't follow my own advice. Left front ubolts...

    Steelsoldiers’ Big M37B1 Project

Hmm,. I think I've heard of you before. Truck looks mighty good.
