Great thread Mike & Phil, [thumbzup]
I was wondering what implement those holes on the passenger fender seam were used for when I was looking over my new acquisition. I also have the triangular a shelf mounted on the rear window ledge.
Just that little shelf made it difficult to get into the...
Good things come to those who wait?????
So Marc from SnortnBoar Transport (Shipping Wars) showed up today after lunch with my M923 on board. He is a great guy. He was willing to make the trek up to my property, over a gravel road and into some pretty tight quarters.
So let the fail blog...
Problems in the passes today, so delivery has been postponed until Monday.
At least it isn't running out the clock sitting on the GL site......
Guess I will have to wait to see what type of deal the GL folks have sold me.
Let's just hope that it was all human error and that they didn't damage anything loading it.
The wind here has rally ramped back up.
I just hope the precipitation has passed to the east.
Thanx for the support and suggestions.
Adam, that lower road is the planned area for drop off.
Kind of a valley that way it can't roll to far.
I am making up glad hands with pneumatic air tool quick disconnects so that i will have a pretty long air line in between.
You working tomorrow? Diver said his schedule was uncertain, but...
Woo Hoo!
My M923 was picked up by the hauler today and will be delivered tomorrow.
Bad news was the driver says he wasn't able to build enough pressure to release the air brakes. So the drivers says they lifted the rear of the truck with a forklift and steered the M923 up onto the step-deck...
Looks like a great project.[thumbzup]

Nice "Money Shots" of the truck.
Do you have a picture of the step extended?
Looks real clean.
I like how you chopped the fenders and shaved all the seams of the hard top.
Is the hard top a total custom fab or did you massage a stock top?
I like the Semi-truck visor also.
Every time I look at it...
I believe it was in this expedition vehicle thread.
It was the only one I had saved because I wanted more info on how to do the modification as well.
No search involved.
I give you the link, but you must promise to include some how to's if you follow thru on the modification...
809's can be made to have more leg room. Put a smaller aftermarket steering wheel on it and the power steering will allow it to be comfortable for a 6'8" fellow to drive.
Big wheels will get you up to some nice highway speeds, but it is truly gutless getting there.
Momentum is your best...
