You're running a 100 amp Delco brushless unit. The brushless units can be weaker at idle than a brush unit, but they are made to last 1 million miles. Don't be surprised if it dips out of the green at idle with all of that on, depends greatly on your idle speed.
Measured up from the underside. The Roadranger trans is 38.5" from mounting flange to output flange U-joint centerline. While under the truck, the Allison appears to measure about 38". Could I be lucky enough to not even need to mod the slip splined prop shaft going to the T-case?

Sounds like the valves are bent and not returning to their fully seated positions? Carefully check their heigth compared to all others in relaxed state. Or those cam lobes are worn down to a greatly reduced base circle.
Anybody coming to Findlay from or through Cincinnati? There is a BBQ there I want to purchase (ahead of time) and would appreciate brought up to the show. Save me 5 additional hours of driving. Will pay $50 if can be done damage free. Can pick it up ahead of time. Would offer to cook you a...
This is turning into a game show. I was going to say "I'll take Cummins 250 for $500 please", and guess the unit injectors are stuck in the down position, hence the rocker clearance (like a 2 stroker Detroit Diesel), but when he said tach cable from front cover, it threw a stick in the spokes...
Welcome. Lot's of info of both on here. We try not to repeat everything, every time, and politely ask one to search, and then ask. Check out some of the info. Basics are a 5 ton has a wider cab so can fit an additional person easily, a 5 ton has a faster factory top speed, 2.5 ton has more...
Yes it is possible. General consensus is if you want to exceed 300hp, then you should. Up to that point, not necessary. You can turn the MW up, increase the injection timing, and add larger injectors. To keep EGT and smoke down, after 300hp you will also need to remove the after-cooler...
Assembly sequence of dual plate cup style flywheel/clutch:
This style is very rare today, most use a traditional flat flywheel. I needed to use this to achieve the required torque holding capacity in an SAE #2 configuration (14" clutch), as not wanting to change rear motor mount...
Used hydraulic slave and release fork arrived. Confirmed it fits the clutch housing properly. This one has an air assist on it (Wabco gen II), so you can feed it regulated air pressure to ease clutch pedal pressure. I also have a non-assisted slave if that somehow works better, was $25 on...
Timing adjustment can be done right on the engine. Also does not require a high pressure feed pump to do so. The Harbor Freight steering wheel puller fits the pump gear perfectly, and even includes the correct bolts. Does not require to pull the pump at all.
You could pull the pump and...
