For my steering I ordered the Offroaddesign cross over kit and their ported 2wd steering box. Its not installed yet. Right now I'm working with a local business to make me custom driveshafts. Both steering and shafts should be installed later this month.
To answer your main question, I'm not...
Soft topper makes a nice soft top. But their design is mention for summer usage. It's water tight until you start driving and the wind and water comes threw the edge where the soft top snaps on to the top of the cab.
Thanks! Yea I didn't want a scowl hood that had a lot of rise blocking my...
Thanks man! Just a FYI. After installing the soft top I noticed that a lot of air, water, etc will be coming inside the cab threw the top portion of the roof rear edge. It's the design and seems to me to be used only during the summer months. It would be smart to keep your hard top and stock...
So far she is sitting high in the front. But I figure adjustments will be made after the front bumper, winch and rear bumper is installed with fuel in the tank.
At the end of the day I had the shop guys help me with the soft top. It was a good quick install after I had to run to Ace hardware and get some better mounting bolts. 12x grade 8. She looking good! The light from the windows kinda messed up the pic quality. Ill get some better pics later.
I got home and installed a few things. This hood I ordered from LMCtruck.com. I wanted it for better ventilation to keep the motor cooler during hot summer desert trips. The install was simple. Simply swapped over hardware from old hood to new hood. I'll paint it later.
So a few issues... That super cool rear bumper from blazinoffroad fits great but... It's about 1/2 inch on both sides too inward from letting the tailgate go down. It will have to be modified...
I'm still contemplating on how I'm going to modify the fuel tank/tool box...
Also thinking what would...
Thanks!
Great idea!!! I think a base station ham radio and Solargizer panels is a great idea. I've been busy with work and my blazer, plus it's winter so I put the project on hold for now. Will post more updates in about 2 months:)
There's 4 fuel lines on the tank.
1. Filler
2. Sender
3. Return
4. AUX/Over fill. This ones usually connected to the filler. Or cut and tapped off with a screw to keep air out.
I got a 6.2L diesel truck civilian Gmc 3/4 ton I'll sell ya. 6" lift $2500
That's a great idea! But instead could you use the AUX fuel line instead to do the test? Just tap off the other end and put air in the other. Hmmm ideas:-)
Have you dropped fuel tank and replaced those rubber hoses yet? I have same problem you have with my 83 GMC civilian truck on the pass side tank. It was the tank rubber hoses....
Open your hood. Look at fuel filter mount. See the knob on top? Make sure it's tight. While your at it. See that nipple next to the knob? Yea, get a rubber hose put on nipple and suck with your mouth. Any air? Any fuel? If so... The knob is loose and your getting air in lines. Try that. Don't...
Could be air getting in the fuel lines. Could try replacing the fuel tank rubber hoses. Also check the knob on top of your fuel filter mount. Make sure it's tight. You can test it by putting a rubber hose on that nipple of the fuel filter mount and try and suck. If air, then there's your problem.
