"Seems" is good, and in the right direction.
But on behalf of others, the hope was to get a confirmation of intent (even the engineering), through a reference to "chapter-and-verse" in a TM, or something similar.
Maybe though that kind of verification just does not exist.
In response:
- Is the spool take-up of the Deuce winch designed/ engineered to synchronize with the forward progression of the Deuce (when it is in Low/First)?
This question was only "parked" here in this thread to save the trouble of starting a new stand-alone thread. But of course, now in...
Wait a minute...
Just realized the question (transmission synched w/ PTO) applied to the Deuce and NOT the LMTV:
- We might just have a resurrection here
I got to go find that little bird again.
Poor Ms Jennifer! I get that she needs to drive:
- Because for a while understandably she sure is not wanting to do a whole lot of WALKING
Sometimes, you have no luck at all if not for bad luck (it can happen to any of us).
Good Luck to Ms Jennifer!
Outstanding. Thanks, coachgeo!!
I am going to go outside right now to search the trees for that little bird, and mention this.
Please stand-by. I'll be right back...
That little bird told me something critical.
The bird suggests that the ONLY source who might have the key to unlock the mystery here (synched vs unsynched) is an SS member named David Doyle.
Goes by DDoyle: anybody know the good man?
If so, will you kindly knock on his door and see if he is in?
Hey, Chappie, great to hear from you!!
I ran across a great license plate holder the other day I thought you might like.
Let me see if I can rustle that up for a post here.
Stand by...
No, no, it's NOT me can take any credit.
I am but merely the knucklehead messenger!
The little bird from whom I heard, that Bird is the wise one who seeks confirmation.
We shall see where all this takes us...
Don't know where else to post this, so (mostly out of a pure lazy bone), parking it in this thread here. Thanks, MJT!
A "little bird" told me this (and that bird and me, both having bird brains AND inquiring minds), want to know is the following true and accurate about the Self-Recovery Winch...
You know me, I talk a lot. Funny story:
- If you ever fly into Washington, DC (Reagan National) there are two terminals there the "New" and the "Old" (Southwest Airlines is in the Old).
- The Old terminal is kind of cool (still has the two observatory domes, used back in the day for weather...
Water spray to keep down the dust is a good idea, but a mask is what you want.
I made a career out of general contracting and did my share of demolition project-to-project, got "schooled" there on abatement of all kinds, asbestos included.
It's only a real danger when it becomes a dust (like...
The rehab looks real good, tobys.
You know you GOTTA wear a dust mask when cutting that fiberglass, right? The stuff is no different than asbestos when you cut it like that. Not to freak you (dust mask should cover you), but you don't want to be inhaling that stuff.
I get it, a Timmies.
Like a Gummy, but less "buzz"!
The gummy is legal now in DC, Colorado, and California. The buddies I got in these areas all seem to be hitting second childhoods with the liberation. I can't explain it.
Thanks, oboyjohn, I'll take mine black.
