When you are turning off your rig, the suggestion is to turn off the rig and only then turn off the lights and accessories. I’m just wondering what you are doing to fry so many boxes as something is going on in your vehicle.
My 1987 radiator seemed OK from the top, however when I pulled the stack there were three small leaks developing. I replaced immediately and in doing so I was also able to clean the stack and get rid of all the dirt and crud so now everything breathes really well.
Bottom line is old radiators...
Aluminum rads last decades. I prefer brass as it can be repaired by any shoppe in an emergency.

Just state that the original wheels are getting restored as they were dangerous and needed to be fixed and you threw on another set of wheels just to keep her mobile. Also, a model A or T is still historical even without wooden wheels so I’m not sure the person you spoke with has a leg to stand on.
